Roofing Detail

1.2. Construction Sequence

This proposal recommends implementing waterproofing construction after the
installation of the steel frame. This approach aims to better protect the waterproofing
membrane, minimize the need for construction personnel to walk on it, and prevent
damage from welding slag that may melt due to high temperatures during welding.
Construction sequence detailed as below:
 Working platform set up for subsequent working at height. Erect working platform
before the installation works started: a mixed working platform including scissor
platform lift, aluminum scaffolding will be set up on indicated location for the works,
scaffolding erection method and as per below shown:

Working Platform Erection Scenario

 Polishing of the old waterproofing membrane with angle grinders and safety
equipment (PPE).
 Invitation of Owner Representative and Consultant for inspection for the roofing
surface to receive the new waterproofing membrane once the polishing work
completed.
 Setting -out for steel plate then drilling holes for the anchor bolts.
 Waterproofing applied at the bottom of steel plate areas. Step 1:

 Priming: Prepare a 1:1 by volume Nitoproof 725 / clean water mixture. Apply primer
and allow to wet/ soak in to the substrate and dry to a tacky state before coating.
Step 2: Waterproofing Application: Nitoproof 725 should be applied in one coat by
roller or brush or by airless spray at a wet film of 0.8mm.
 Waterproofing Curing (24H).
 Installation of steel plate with anchor bolts.
 Pull-out testing by the third party.
 Connection of the steel frame by welding method.
 Weld testing by the third party.
 Brushing zinc rich epoxy coating to welding locations of steel frame.
 Sika 214 grouting for the gap between of the steel plate and RC roofing surface.
 Waterproofing applied for the whole area of RC roofing surface, Step 1: Priming:

Waterproofing Application: Nitoproof 725 should be applied in one coat by roller or
brush or by airless spray at a wet film of 0.8mm.
 Waterproofing Curing (24H). It is a critical step in the waterproofing process,
ensuring that the applied waterproofing membrane adheres properly and achieves
its intended performance.
 Installation of #316 S.S. gutter with bird net.
 Installation of alum. panel & Half Circular copping, implant weather sealant.
