Step 7. Upgrade OPatch


Upgrade OPatch under your Oracle Developer Suite <ORACLE_HOME> through the Win32
release of Patch 6880880 p6880880_101000_WINNT.zip by following the patch readme.

To verify the version of OPatch installed on the desktop run the following command.

C:\> <ORACLE_HOME>\OPatch\opatch version -oh <ORACLE_HOME>

[For example: C:\OraHome\OPatch\opatch version -oh C:\OraHome]

OPatch Version: 1.0.0.0.64

In this example, the OPatch version is identified as 1.0.0.0.64.

Step 8. Apply the Latest Forms Bundle Patch


Apply the latest Forms Bundle patch for Windows 32-bit by running the following
commands.

Open a command prompt session with 'Elevated Privileges'. (Right-click the Command
Prompt icon and select 'Run as Administrator).

Be aware that running OPatch from a command prompt without elevated privileges may
give the following error:
The Oracle Home <ORACLE_HOME> is not registered with the Central Inventory. OPatch
was not able to get details of the home from the inventory. Make sure that Windows
'System32' directory is in your PATH. For example, C:\WINNT\System32 ERROR: OPatch
failed because of Inventory problem. OPatch returns with error code = 100
Add the following variables to the PATH by running the commands listed below.
Substitute the <ORACLE_HOME> value as appropriate to your environment. Note that
these values will only be set for this Windows command session.
C:\> set ORACLE_HOME=<ORACLE_HOME>
C:\> set PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%\OPatch;C:\Windows\system32;C:\windows;%PATH%
C:\> set PERL5LIB=%ORACLE_HOME%\perl\5.6.1\lib;%PERL5LIB%
C:\> set PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%\OPatch;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;%ORACLE_HOME%\
perl\5.6.1\bin\MSWin32-x86;%PATH%
Apply the latest Win32 Forms Bundle Patch through OPatch. You can find the latest
patch release listed in Document 437878.1, Upgrading OracleAS 10g Forms and Reports
in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.

C:\> <ORACLE_HOME>\OPatch\opatch apply -oh <ORACLE_HOME>
Step 9. (Windows 11 only) Install Microsoft C Runtime Library MSVCR71.dll for
Oracle Reports Builder 10g
Oracle Reports Builder 10g requires the Microsoft C Runtime Library MSVCR71.dll
that was previously shipped with Visual Studio .NET 2003 packages. This library
does not come by default with Windows 11. However, Microsoft continues to provide
the require package containing the library on the Microsoft Visual Studio website.

Perform the following steps to download and install the Microsoft C Runtime
Library:

Go to the Microsoft Visual Studio Downloads page:

Search for Visual Studio .NET 2003.
Download Visual Studio .NET 2003 Prerequisites for x86 (filename:
en_vs.net_2003_prereq.iso).
Extract en_vs.net_2003_prereq.iso using a utility such as 7-Zip into a temporary
directory.
Copy MSVCR71.dll from the temporary directory to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
Open Oracle Reports Builder and confirm that it runs without error.
4.5 JDeveloper OA Extensions (JDeveloper 10g)
Note: The latest JDeveloper OA Extensions patches are listed in Document 416708.1,
OA Framework: How to Identify Required Oracle JDeveloper Patches For Oracle E-
Business Release 12.x or 11i. Use the patch as appropriate to your EBS environment.
