Education is a critical area where gender equality is essential. In many parts of the world, girls have historically been denied the same educational
opportunities as boys. Organizations like UNICEF and UNESCO have worked tirelessly to promote gender equality in education. Their efforts
have led to increased school enrollment rates for girls, particularly in developing countries. Educating girls has numerous benefits, including
improved economic outcomes for communities and better health for families. However, challenges remain, such as cultural barriers and lack of
resources. Continued efforts are necessary to ensure that all children, regardless of gender, have access to quality education.

This exam matrix is designed for average and good students in tenth grade. The knowledge in the test focuses on the content that children learn in
school. The test includes a language section (vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation) and also tests two skills including 1 productive skill of
writing and 1 receptive skill of reading.
The matrix accounts for 70% of remembering and understanding, these are the foundational cognitive levels that assess basic knowledge and
comprehension, and the remaining 30% for application and high-order application, these require students to apply their knowledge and
understanding to solve problems or create something new. The writing section focuses on this higher-order skill.
The rates for vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing are 20 %, 20%, 10%, 30%, and 20% respectively and the corresponding
time for each section is 11, 14, 4,16, and 15 minutes.
Vocabulary: 10% remembering ( 5 questions, 1 question 0.2 pts ) 5 minutes
10% Understanding ( 5 questions, 1 question 0.2 pts ) 6 minutes
Grammar: 10 % understanding ( 4 questions, 1 question 0.25 pts ) 5 minutes
10 % application ( 4 questions, 1 question 0.25 pts ) 9 minutes
Pronunciation: 10% remembering ( 4 questions, 1 question 0.25 pts ) 4 minutes
Reading: The reading section will consist of two tests with the same number of questions in each test and the same score for each question.
15% remembering ( 6 questions, 1 question 0.25 pts ) 7 minutes
15% understanding ( 6 questions, 1 question 0.25 pts ) 9 minutes
Writing: 20% High order application ( 1 paragraph, 2pts ) 15 minutes
Calculating Scores:
Each question is assigned a point value. For example, a question in the vocabulary section that tests remembering might be worth 0.2 points. Five
such questions would total 1 point (5 x 0.2 = 1).
The time allotted for each section is also based on the weighting. for example, reading takes the most time (16 minutes) because it covers more
questions (12) and a higher cognitive level (understanding and remembering) or writing 15 minutes is challenging for students but the test already
provides suggestions to facilitate the task.
