====================================National Anthem===================================

Background Announcement: Thank you. You may now be seated.

Together: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more
places you’ll go.”

Emcee: This is in accordance to Dr. Seuss in his wonderful book I Can Read with My Eyes Shut! And
indeed, as language majors we can truly attest to that, that knowledge gained from reading can be a
vehicle that would enable us to travel to places we know, and those which we don’t even know exist.
And it is through literature that we get to traverse the extremes, we can evoke both joy and sorrow in
the slightest words possible and that’s Flash Fiction, we can also register different interpretations on
single literature just by differing ways and styles of delivery and that is through Poetry Reading, and
definitely, we can also promote universality and inclusivity of literature regardless of language
differences through text translation. So, intertwined nga naman talaga ang Language and Literature
partner, ‘di ba?

Emcee: Yes, partner, and they actually work hand in hand e, that you can’t establish one without the
other.
