Prohibited Items on Flight

When traveling with Indigo Airlines on a domestic flight, there are certain items you should not carry in your hand
luggage or checked baggage for safety and regulatory reasons. Here's a list of prohibited and restricted items:

1. Prohibited in Cabin Baggage (Hand Luggage)


• Sharp Objects:
o Knives, scissors, box cutters, and blades
o Metal nail files, corkscrews, and safety razors
• Sporting Goods/Tools:
o Baseball bats, golf clubs, or hockey sticks
o Hammers, wrenches, pliers, and other tools
• Liquids & Gels Over 100ml:
o Bottles of water, beverages, shampoos, lotions, creams (items must be under 100ml each and placed
in a transparent, resealable plastic bag)
• Explosives & Flammable Items:
o Fireworks, flares, or other pyrotechnics
o Lighters, matches, or gasoline containers
• Weapons & Ammunition:
o Firearms or replicas of weapons
o Stun guns, tasers, pepper spray
• Chemicals:
o Bleach, spray paints, acids, or toxic substances
o Radioactive materials or poison

2. Prohibited in Checked Baggage


• Explosives or Flammable Substances:
o Fireworks, explosives, or flammable liquids like fuel
• Lithium Batteries:
o Spare lithium-ion batteries are not allowed in checked baggage (must be carried in cabin baggage
instead).
• Corrosive Substances:
o Acids, bleach, and other dangerous chemicals
• Radioactive Materials:
o Including those for medical or scientific purposes
• Oxidizing Substances:
o Such as bleach and peroxide

3. Items with Restrictions


• Power Banks/Lithium Batteries:
o Must be carried in hand luggage, not allowed in checked baggage.
• Alcoholic Beverages:
o Up to 5 liters allowed in checked baggage (alcohol content must be between 24% and 70% ABV).
• E-Cigarettes and Vaping Devices:
o Allowed in cabin baggage only, not in checked baggage.
• Self-Heating Meals:
o Meals with self-heating elements (MREs) are not allowed due to fire hazards.

4. Special Care for Items:


• Valuables:
o Keep valuables like jewelry, cash, electronics, and important documents in your cabin baggage.
• Medication:
o Always carry essential medication in your cabin baggage. Ensure you have a prescription for any
liquid medication exceeding 100ml.
