Josh: Welcome to the 27th IPRA Commemoration and 2024 Indigenous Peoples Month
Celebration! Today, we gather to honor the theme, “Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong:
Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan, at Parangalan,” which encourages us to value, nurture, and honor the
Indigenous Peoples and their knowledge.
Neda: That's right, Josh! This event is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the rich culture,
heritage, and contributions of our Indigenous communities. We hope this will inspire everyone to
promote inclusivity and respect for cultural diversity.
Josh: To officially start our program, we are requesting everyon to please rise for the opening
prayer and to remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Antheme.
You may now take your sits. We are so happy that everyone is here as we celebrate this
momentous event.
Neda: Indeed Josh. We really feel the support of the DSSC family as we are joined by the DSSC
College President, VPAA, and some faculty members. Of course, we are also honored to have
our guests from IP communities.
Josh: But wait Ms. Neda, Let us also acknowledge the presence of our BPA students, who have
organized today’s event under the supervision of Sir Sheruel Matalandang.. Thank you for your
hard work and dedication.
Neda: And now, let us call on Dr. Siverlyn P. Camposano, our Vice President of Academic
Affairs, to deliver the Welcome Remarks.
Neda: Next, we will have the Ribbon Cutting ceremony to signify the official opening of this
celebration.
Neda: Thank you, Dr. Fuentes, for your inspiring message and continuous support.
Josh: Up next, we will have a unity dance Production Number from our talented students of
BPA-4C. We are requesting everyone to please join the unity dance.
Neda: That was an incredible performance! Now, to provide us with words of wisdom, let’s
welcome Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas, Director for Research, Development, and Innovation, for the
Inspirational Message.
Neda: We will now proceed to introduce our weavers, who have traveled from various
Indigenous communities to share their traditional crafts with us. Let’s give them a warm
welcome as they showcase their amazing skills.

Josh: It’s almost lunchtime, so let’s take a break to enjoy the meal prepared for everyone.

Peoples Month Celebration.
Josh: To start our program today, let us begin with an Opening Prayer.
Neda: Next, let us all rise for the singing of the National Anthem.
Josh: Thank you. For the Welcome Remarks, we call on Mr. Sheruel Matalandang from DSSC..
Neda: Now, please enjoy another performance by the BPA-4C with their Unity Dance,
representing the unity among diverse Indigenous communities.
Josh: Thank you, BPA-4C, for that wonderful performance. We are once again privileged to
have Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, our College President, to deliver a Message of Support.
Neda: Thank you, Mr. Javelona, for that informative session. Next, for Session II, we have
Meriam Sarabillo, DTI-Senior Trade and Industry Specialist, who will lead the Product
Development Coaching session.
Josh: Thank you, Ms. Sarabillo, for the valuable insights on product development. We are sure
this session has been beneficial to everyone here.
Neda: To officially close our event, we invite Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas to deliver the Closing
