Introduction of the family function

In mathematics, a square root function is
defined as a one-to-one function that
takes a positive number as an input and
returns the square root of the given input
number. For example, if x=4, then the
function returns the output value as 2.
Note: The square root of a negative
number represents a complex number.

Square roots are applied in my disciplines such as engineering, finance, probability, architecture, and
physics. The rate of return on an asset in a period of 2 units ( 2 years, 2 months, etc.) is found by using
square roots. V2 denoted the money value after 2 years.
transformation
The basic root function can be dilated and translated in a similar way to other functions. The root function $$ y =√ x
can be transformed to $$ y = a √ x − h + k by dilating it using the factor $$ a and translating it, first horizontally $$ h
units to the right, and then $$ k units upward.

f(x) = = + 4

f we used
f(x) = xx + 4

A cubic function is a polynomial function of degree 3
and is of the form f(x) = ax3 + bx2 + cx + d, where a,
b, c, and d are real numbers and a ≠ 0. The basic
cubic function (which is also known as the parent
cube function) is f(x) = x3.
The simplest example of such a function is the standard cubic function, which is
simply. f ( x ) = x 3. Cubic functions often arise in situations where three factors
are multiplied together, such as the volume of a rectangular box, which is equal
to length times width times height.
An absolute value function is a function that contains an
algebraic expression within absolute value symbols. Recall
that the absolute value of a number is its distance from 0 on
the number line. To graph an absolute value function, choose
several values of x and find some ordered pairs.

We often use absolute values when talking about distance

because there is no such thing as negative distance. For
example, just because the store you're going to is a block
behind you doesn't mean it's negative one blocks away.

The general form of an absolute value function is y - k = a|x - h| where a, h, and k each represent a transformation.
"h" gives the horizontal shift, "k" gives the vertical shift, and "a" represents a stretch/compression and/or reflection
depending on its value.
