    MUNICIPALITY OF HINUNDAYAN

    MUNICIPAL PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL

    RESOLUTION UNNUMBERED, SERIES OF 2023

    “A RESOLUTION ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE CONDUCT OF THE JOINT TASK GROUP
    TANDAYA SIMULATION EXERCISES FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF HINUNDAYAN, SOUTHERN
    LEYTE”

    WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of Hinundayan thru its Municipal Peace and Order
    Council in its pursuit for a better and peaceful life to its constituents, is committed to
    upholding peace, order, public safety and security within its territorial jurisdiction;

    WHEREAS, the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) of Hinundayan is tasked with
    coordinating peace and order initiatives within the municipality;

    WHEREAS, JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA is a simulation exercise facilitated and led by the
    Philippine Army elements in coordination with the Philippine National police, Bureau of
    Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard and close coordination with the Municipal
    disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Liga Ng Mga Barangay
    Hinundayan Chapter, is designed to enhance the preparedness and response
    capabilities of local government units and the community/ies in general in addressing
    various security threats and emergencies;

    WHEREAS, the conduct of the JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA simulation exercise in
    Hinundayan is deemed essential to assess the municipality's readiness and effectiveness
    in managing potential security incidents and crisis situations;

    WHEREAS, the participation of key stakeholders, including barangay officials, law


    enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and the community, is crucial to the
    success of the JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA simulation exercise;

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) of
    Hinundayan, that:

    ENDORSEMENT OF JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA SIMULATION EXERCISE. The Municipal


    Peace and Order Council hereby endorses the conduct of the Project Tandaya
    simulation exercise for the Municipality of Hinundayan, Southern Leyte.

    SUPPORT AND COOPERATION. The MPOC calls upon all barangay officials, law
    enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and concerned stakeholders to extend
    their full support and cooperation in the planning, preparation, and execution of the
    JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA simulation exercise.

    OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTATIONS. The objectives and expectations of the JOINT TASK
    GROUP TANDAYA simulation exercise shall be clearly defined and communicated to all
    participating agencies and individuals to ensure a coordinated and effective response.

    EVALUATION AND LESSONS LEARNED. An evaluation mechanism shall be established to


    assess the outcomes and identify lessons learned from the JOINT TASK GROUP TANDAYA
    simulation exercise, with the aim of enhancing the municipality's overall preparedness
    and response capabilities.

    THEREFORE, upon motion of council member Oyong, seconded in mass, the council
    hereby endorse and give its full support to the conduct of the Joint Task Group Tandaya
    simulation exercises as part of the municipality’s public safety capacity building activity.

    Approved unanimously this 13TH day of July, 2023, during the Municipal Peace and Order
    Council Meeting held at SB Hall, Hinundayan, Southern Leyte.
