Brickies is a fresh take on the classic brick breaker game, with fast paced
levels — each one delivering a race against the clock. Everything is designed to
maintain a fast pace highlighted by having a paddle at the bottom and top of
the screen without the ability to lose a life on missing a shot. If you miss the
ball, it just becomes lifeless until it collides with your paddle again, and a
lifeless ball drains valuable seconds. And time over means it is game over! Yes,
you got it right! This is the twist in Brickies!!

There are two game modes: Play and Endless. The

standard Play mode is based on levels, where you
have to clear the current one to move on to the next,
and you can earn up to three stars depending on how
many points you manage to score. There are over 100
levels and each one offers a unique challenge in the
positioning of the bricks, and the way they act. There
are bricks that move, have shields, explode into more
bricks, and simply continue to throw new twists at
you. Luckily, the game lets you unlock new exciting
powers-ups as you progress through the levels and
beat the timer! The power-ups will show up randomly
during game play - hitting them with the ball will
activate the power for a brief amount of time. You will
understand the value of the power-ups as you advance
through the levels.
Endless mode, on the other hand, will fill up the
screen with more bricks (aka Brickies) as you clear
them out, so it's more of a high score chaser mode.
Regardless of which one you choose to play, the
unique thing about Brickies is the fact that there is a
timer running in the background, which makes it
challenging - you only have that much time to clear
out all of the bricks. As already been told, time over,
means it is game over.
The controls in the game are simple and just as you'd
expect from a brick breaker: there are two paddles -
one at the top and one at the bottom. The top paddle
moves in sync with the bottom paddle. Use the
paddles to launch the ball and unleash a variety of
power ups upon the brickies, but don't worry if you
miss the ball! As said above, in Brickies missing a
shot doesn't mean the game is over; it deactivates the
ball until you bounce it again and then you're back in
action!
