SSG Meeting
Activity Proposals

I. Celebrating World Teachers’ Month

A. “Dress Like Your Teacher” Rampage


- The essence of the program is for students to walk on the stage
dressed like their chosen teacher, they can reenact their teachers’
good and signature or funny character. The SSG Officers will have
to check the students’ presentation before the event to make sure
that it would be appropriate and aligned with the criteria.

- SSG Officers can lead and organize the event to fully fulfill their
roles as members of the student government, but still with the
guidance of advisers.

B. Video Greeting for Teachers


- Officers of the SSG will compile and edit videos of students
greeting their teachers as an act of appreciation. The video can be
played during the event or before the class starts. It can also be
uploaded online.

C. “Teachers’ Wall” or “Teachers’ Mailbox”


- SSG Officers will make separate boxes for students to insert their
letters for their teachers. In this way, the officers can collectively
gather the letters and give them

II. “World at Peace” (United Nations Event)

A. Kindergarten - Grade 3

1. Recycled Flags
- Each student from their class will make a flag of their
assigned country using recycled materials to promote
sustainability. Their flags will be judged by the teachers and
the student with the best output will be awarded for the “Best
Recycled Flag”.
2. Class Parade
- Students will have a parade as a class around the
subdivision or the school while presenting/ holding their
recycled flags.

B. Grade 4 - Grade 6

1. Recycled Flags
- Each student from their class will make a flag of their
assigned country using recycled materials to promote
sustainability. Their flags will be judged by the teachers and
the student with the best output will be awarded for the “Best
Recycled Flag”.

2. Class Parade
- Students will have a parade as a class around the
subdivision or the school while presenting/ holding their
recycled flags.

C. Grade 7 - Grade 12

1. “The Nations’ Booths”


- Each section of Grades 7 to 12 will have a chance to
showcase their creativity through building a “booth” that will
display the delicacies, products, or features of their assigned
continent or country.

2. Muse and Escorts’ Pageant


- The Muse and Escorts of each section will be able to present
their countries by wearing costumes. They will represent
their booths as well.

3. Dance Presentation
- Chosen group of students will present a dance performance
from a specific country.

4. Extemporaneous Speech
- Grades 7 to 12 will perform an extemporaneous speech
regarding the importance of peace in our world.

5. “The Nation’s Quiz”


- The teachers or SSG Officers will conduct a quiz regarding
the current events or history around the world. They will be
given a specific scope for the quiz.

6. Creative Essay Writing


- Students will have the chance to fully express their thoughts
and ideas about the theme “World at Peace” through
creative essay writing that will be judged by English
teachers.

III. Proposed Activities of SSG


Date Activity Explanation

Everyday Activity Prayer Wall SSG Officers will collectively collect “prayer
requests” from students.

Weekly Activity Weekly Devotional Board Under the prayer requests will be a short
scripture from the Bible and a short devotion,
reflecting on the scripture.

Flag Ceremony and Flag Core Officers of the SSG will lead the Flag
Retreat Ceremony and Flag Retreat every week.

Weekly reports from Class The SSG will gather in a meeting twice a
representatives. month to discuss reports from class
representatives and reflect from it.

Monthly Activity Competition for Best Bulletin Teachers and SSG Officers will judge the
boards. artistic and creative skills of students in each
section through their designs and layout of
bulletin boards.

Movie Night/ Day Students and teachers can gather once a


month to watch inspiring or motivational
movies for entertainment and as a way to
bond.

Culminating Activity Donation for the Orphans The SSG Officers believe that the spirit of
kindness and sharing will be empowered
through donating to foundations or
orphanages. This can be achieved during the
month of December and be given on
Christmas as a gift to children.

SPORTSFEST
- Changing the colors to pastels or warm colors may be a good idea.

- Dauntless (the brave)
- Amity (the kind)
- Erudite (the intelligent)
- Abnegation (the selfless)
- Candor (the honest)
