 The purpose of this assessment is to assess your knowledge and skills.
 This assessment is to be completed according to the instructions given by your assessor.
 To be deemed satisfactory in this assessment, you must write the answers to all written questions correctly or meet all the
performance criteria for activity-based assessments by the due date.
 Submission after the due date will result in a penalty fee.
 Should you not answer the tasks correctly, you will be given feedback on the results and gaps in knowledge. You will be entitled to one
(1) resubmission in showing your competence with this unit.
 If you feel the decision made by your assessor was incorrect please refer to your Student Handbook for information on assessment

ASSESSMENT 2 – PRACTICAL ACTIVITY
The following task is to be demonstrated and assessed in a workplace or simulated environment where the conditions are
typical of those in a working environment in this industry.

For this task you will require access to and the use of:
 Hardware, software, and its components required to develop complex web pages.
 Design specifications brief.
 A variety of browsers and digital devices.
 The internet.
 Web page testing and debugging tools required to test complex web pages.

Templates and documents required for this assessment will be provided by your trainer/assessor or workplace supervisor.

For this task, you are to complete the following activity to demonstrate your ability to develop at least two (2) complex
website layouts according to technical requirements.

Prepare to develop the web page layout on each occasion through the following steps:
1. Identify and confirm the legislative and organisational standards and procedures which are applicable to webpage
layout development.

2. Identify the main sections of the web page design.

3. Identify the main sections of the web page layout.

To build, test and validate each web page layout:


4. Create a web page structure.

5. Position and style the web page elements.

6. Create the cascading style sheet and web page.

7. Test the design and the functionality of the web page in at least two (2) browsers.

8. Test the design and the functionality of the web page on at least two (2) devices.

9. Amend any browser and device incompatibilities.

10. Using cyber security procedures and protocols, debug and confirm the security of the web page.

Finalise each web page layout through the following:
