In this study, parameter analysis involves a detailed examination of various

performance metrics to evaluate the system's effectiveness, efficiency, and

economic viability. Key parameters include the angle of the solar panel,
sunlight intensity, and the corresponding electrical output of the solar panel.
Statistical methods are employed to assess the response time of the Omron
Ly2nj relay system in adjusting the solar panel's position in response to
changes in sunlight intensity. The reliability of the tracking mechanism is
evaluated by examining the consistency and accuracy of the panel's
movements over time. The cost-benefit ratio is determined by comparing the
initial setup costs and maintenance expenses with the energy savings
achieved over time. This involves calculating the payback period and the
return on investment (ROI) for the sun tracking system. The results from this
parameter analysis offer valuable insights into the potential benefits and
economic feasibility of implementing the Omron Ly2nj relay-based single-axis
sun tracking system for residential solar energy applications.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been developed to

address various global challenges and to achieve a sustainable future
for all. Research has shown that the integration of these goals is crucial
for the success of sustainable development efforts (Blanc, 2015). The
SDGs provide a network of targets that aim to promote economic
growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection (Oniang'o,
2020).
The integration of solar tracking systems into energy infrastructure is
pivotal for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
particularly in the context of a low energy demand scenario essential
for meeting the 1.5°C target without relying on negative emission
technologies, as argued by Grubler et al. (2018). This is further
supported by Keesstra et al. (2018), who emphasize the importance of
sustainable land use and restoration for successful implementation,
highlighting the necessity of land degradation neutrality in various
geographical locations. Additionally, McCollum et al. (2018) underscore
the critical need for substantial energy investments to transition to
sustainable energy sources, indicating that integrating solar tracking
systems is a key component of fulfilling both the Paris Agreement and
the SDGs. Blanc (2015) further provides insights into the
interconnectedness of the SDGs and the need for integrated
approaches to achieve sustainable development. This integrated
approach is crucial for the implementation of solar tracking systems, as
they contribute to multiple SDGs, including affordable and clean
energy, climate action, and industry innovation.
Holechek et al. (2022) conduct a comprehensive global assessment to
determine the feasibility of renewable energy supplanting fossil fuels by
2050. This study underscores the critical role of solar tracking systems
in achieving the sustainable development goal (SDG) of affordable and
clean energy. Complementing this perspective, Oral et al. (2020)
review nature-based solutions for urban water management,
emphasizing the broader environmental and societal benefits of
sustainable technologies, including solar energy, despite not being
directly related to solar tracking systems. Further highlighting the
multifaceted potential of solar energy, Gao et al. (2021) explore
photothermal membrane distillation for solar water production,
illustrating synergies between solar technologies and other SDGs, such
as clean water and sanitation. Additionally, You et al. (2013) present a
polymer tandem solar cell with high power conversion efficiency,
directly contributing to the SDG of affordable and clean energy and
showcasing the potential of advanced solar tracking systems. Lastly, Li
and Wu (2015) review semiconductor-based photocatalysts and
photoelectrochemical cells for solar fuel generation, revealing the
broader applications of solar energy beyond electricity generation.
Their findings align with multiple SDGs related to energy, industry, and
innovation, further emphasizing the pivotal role of solar energy
technologies in sustainable development. Together, these studies
highlight the diverse and significant contributions of solar energy
technologies to various sustainable development goals.

The literature reviewed demonstrates the interconnectedness of the

SDGs with the development and implementation of solar tracking
systems. However, there is a knowledge gap in the specific strategies
and technologies needed to ensure that solar tracking systems
contribute effectively to the achievement of the SDGs. Future research
should focus on identifying and developing these strategies to
maximize the potential impact of solar tracking systems on sustainable
development.
In conclusion, the literature reviewed showcases the critical role of
solar tracking systems in contributing to the SDGs. However, further
research is needed to bridge the gap between the theoretical
integration of solar tracking systems and their practical
implementation for sustainable development.
