Subject: Notice on behalf of Ms. Arushi Rajora (hereinafter


referred as “my client”) regarding theft/loss of backage

Sir/Ma’am
I write to you under instructions from and on behalf om my client,
Ms. Arushi Rajora (R/o…..) and state as hereunder:

1. That my client on 25.11.2022 had booked an Uber Cab for


package delivery service from Ghaziabad (Address) to Noida
(Address).

2. That the package had clothes which were worth


approximately about Rs. 17,500/-.

3. That my client got a message on her mobile phone that the


package has been delivered successfully. At this point of
time, she realized that the package has not been delivered at
the drop location which was given by her while booking the
Uber Service.

4. However, she got to know that the package has been


delivered at Nava Jeevan Leprosy Colony (Address if
Known).
5. Thereafter my client continuously tried to call the Uber
driver. Initially the Uber driver (Mr. Amit Kumar) did not
pick the call and later switched off his mobile phone bearing
number 8527876073.

6. My client then tried to contact on the helpline number which


has been provided on your company website. She also tried
to contact your company through the help section which is
provided in the Uber Application on the mobile phone. My
client spoke to multiple representatives on the helpline
number but the representatives were of no help as they were
unable to trace the Uber Driver and were also not able to
connect with him over phone call.

7. However, after making more than 20 calls from different


numbers to the Uber Driver, once the call was picked but the
receiver on the call claimed that the phone number doesn’t
belong to Mr. Amit who was the driver of the Uber Package
pick up service.

8. That it is to be specified that your company has not done the


background check of the driver before associating with him
to be part of the Uber services. Also, your company did not
have any alternate mobile number of the Driver and were
also not able to trace the vehicle which was part of the Uber
Services.

9. I have been instructed to state that my client hopes that a


company of your standing and reputation will look to resolve
the issue in an amicable manner and will try to compensate
me for my loss.

10.Take notice that in the event of your failure to give a positive


reply within 15 days from the receipt of this Legal Notice, I
am under instruction to prosecute the Company. You shall
also be liable for all costs and expenses incurred in such
proceedings initiated by my client.
11.This notice does not and will not affect or prejudice my
clients right to take any and all actions, as it considers
appropriate.
