It’s the same since Abramovich left Chelsea have totally new background staff and a total overhaul in

the playing staff. Against Liverpool despite the Klopps Kids monicker Chelsea’s average team age was
2 years younger than them in that game. It is the youngest team in the league.

The policy is to buy purely young players which means they are nowhere near the peak with perhaps
one exception and as there is no solid experience they are inconsistent. There is no striker and it’s
hard to see a leader within the team - the only one closest to that is Conor Gallagher who the club
still cannot agree a new contract with.

The light is that the players will improve but it’s a results business and Chelsea in the last 25 years
expect winning. The need is to buy a proven striker of some rationale in the summer . There is a ton
of injuries the hope is that Nkunku who has rarely played , Fofana and Lavia who have been out for
months recapture their old form

Thanks for the A2A, seriously an honor.

The answer is simple. The players are out of form.

When a team has major veteran senior players (Fabregas, Terry, Hazard, Ivanovic, Matic, Costa) all
out of form, it comes as no surprise the team will be out of form.

Basically, the same answer to the question: "Why has Swansea won only once out of the last 13
matches?", or "Why is Olympique Lyonnais 22 points behind PSG in the league?", or "Why did Barça
dominate Real 4-0?" The answer comes down to player form.

Falcao has basically never been in form since his injury, so I have no idea why Mourinho acquired him
on loan. He already flopped at Man U, what makes him think that he won't flop at park the bus
Chelsea?

On a side not, Chelsea shouldn't even have a reputation for parking the bus, whether this is true or
not. Arsenal don't, Barça don't, why should Chelsea? Chelsea have way too deep pockets to do
something inferior teams should be doing. Parking the bus is for inferior teams, and really I have only
seen Chelsea "park the bus" once because they really were inferior. And that was the second leg
against Barça in 2012. Chelsea finished that year 6th and sacked their manager mid-season, and were
up against the defending European champions 1-0 in the first leg, so they HAD to park the bus
because Barça were so superior up front.

Other times, Chelsea just played good defensively MOST of the time (not all, I said most). I mean
they probably won many games 1-0 or 2-1, but those are still the same 3 points.

Mou doesn't trust Remy, and at this point Remy shouldn't be worse than an out-of-form Costa.

Mou doesn't want to use the academy kids because he knows the owner will sack him for giving him
large amounts of money to buy already seasoned players, and therefore Roman would see it as
Mou's fault for those players he bought being out-of-form.

It doesn't help that the players Mou sold have generally better form (Lukaku, Schurrle, de Bruyne,
barely counting Mata and David Luiz) than the ones he currently has. Costa is not scoring, in fact he's
either injured or suspended due to fighting with other players. Hazard is not scoring and is growing
impatient. Ivanovic and Terry are just too old, and younger players are running them off the pitch.
Fabregas is supposed to be their playmaker, he's not creating anything.

The answer to the question, "Why isn't a team in-form?" is always, "Because they players aren't in-
form."
Look at PSG, 17 points clear of 1st place, and has 24 wins, 3 draws, and 0 losses in last 27 league
games. Their scorelines typically read 3-0, 5-1, 6-0, 4-1, 4-0, 5-0...and the answer is simple. Attackers
are in fine form (di Maria especially), midfield is in form (Matuidi and Verratti have been beasts), and
defense is generally fine too. Goalkeeping hasn't been particularly great, which apparently for PSG is
not a problem in their league given their scorelines but probably may be a problem in Europe.

If the question is asking, why are Chelsea and its senior players out-of-form? Then maybe the answer
could be, lack of motivation/complacency, they need a fresh breath of new air (they made very few
changes when the rest of the Premier League made so many), or simply just because the Premier
League minnows are surprising (West Ham early in the season, most consistently Leicester City when
they can defend).

But the question is asking, "Why is Chelsea doing so poorly," and the simple answer is, "the players
are in poor form." Form is everything.

By the way, the Champions League draw is in 2 hours, and I do hope PSG draw Chelsea again,
considering the fact that PSG is so in-form and Chelsea is not.
