STEP ACTIVITIES MATERIAL DYNAMICS TIME SKILLS

Ice Breaker Teacher will paste two word verbs flash cards on the board and Flash Cards Teams 8 min Speaking
flash cards with the meaning of each one then students will
relate the flash cards with their meaning, so they use them to
make some examples with the cards they have correct.

Feed back Role play: Students have to imagine they have to much homework Pictures Trios 10 min Speaking
and they have to call their classmates for advice. Students have to
use as many two word verbs in the conversation.
(teacher can provide flash cards to make it easier to students).

Warm up Teacher will paste some pictures on the board about different Pictures Pairs 3 min Speaking
superstitions, students will comment what they know about them Trios

Presentation Teacher will use the pictures from the warm up to introduce Pictures Total class 3 min Listening
first conditional and give two or three examples like:

if you break a mirror you will have sad misfortune


if you find a four-leaf clover you will have good luck
if a black cat crosses your path you will have bad luck

students can watch the comic on page 28 .
