3. The average salary of male employees in a company is Rs. 10,000 and that of female
employees is Rs. 7,500. The average salary of all the employees is Rs. 9,000. Find the

4. On a particular day, 45 male patients, 35 female patients and some child patients visited a
doctor’s clinic. If their average weights are respectively 66 kg, 58 kg and 30 kg and if the
average weight of all the patients put together is 56 kg., find the number of child patients
who called on the doctor.
5. Petrol is sold at the rate of Rs. 60, Rs. 65 and Rs. 70 per liter during three consecutive
months. The owner of a car has decided to spend the same amount every month for the
purchase of petrol. Find the average amount he spends for petrol per month.
