Quy tắc:

 Thêm “s”vào đằng sau hầu hết động từ : live -> lives, work -> works
Thêm “es” sau những động từ tận cùng bằng “o, s, ch, x, sh, z”: watch -> watches, finish -> finishes
Bỏ “y” và thêm “ies” với động từ kết thúc bởi 1 phụ âm + y: study -> studies
Dấu hiệu nhận biết:
- Các trạng từ chỉ tần suất: always (luôn luôn), usually (thường xuyên), often (thường),
sometimes (thỉnh thoảng), rarely (hiếm khi), seldom (hiếm khi), hardly (hiếm khi), never (không
bao giờ)…
- Cụm từ với “every”: every day (mỗi ngày), every week (mỗi tuần), every month (mỗi
tháng), every year (mỗi năm)
- Cụm từ chỉ tần suất:
once / twice / three times / four times (một lần/ hai lần/ ba lần/ bốn lần)

2. Adverbs of frequency. (Trạng từ tần suất): always, usually, sometimes, often, rarely, rarely,

- Chúng ta thường sử dụng trạng từ tần suất với thì hiện tại đơn.
- Trạng từ tần suất thường đứng:
+ Trước động từ thường
+ Sau động từ tobe.

3. Possessive case. (sở hữu cách)
- Use’s after a proper name.

4. Prepositions of place. ( Các giới từ chỉ nơi chốn)
- in (ở trong), on (ở trên), next to (bên cạnh), behind (đằng sau), in front of (phía trước) , under (ở

5. The present continuous. (Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn)
Công thức:
Thể khẳng S + am/is/are + V-ing… Ex: She’s talking at the present.

Thể nghi vấn. Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing…? A: Are you playing football now?

Cách dùng:
-Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói hoặc xung quanh thời điểm nói.
Quy tắc:
1 Thêm “ing” bình thường go => going
2 Tận cùng “e” => bỏ e + ing drive => driving
3 Tận cùng “ee” => giữ nguyên + ing see => seeing
4 “nguyên âm + phụ âm” => gấp đôi phụ âm cuối + ing win => winning
Trừ “h, w, x, y” => giữ nguyên+ ing fix => fixing
5 Tận cùng “ie” => y + ing die => dying
