EMAIL (180-200 words)

Your car has been badly vandalized. As you have full auto coverage, write an
email to your insurance company giving a full account of the damage and asking
for the compensation you are entitled to

You work for an exclusive beach resort and are in charge of a beach bar that has
become really popular among young people. The local newspaper has written an
article complaining about it. Read the extract taken from the article and write a
letter to the editor showing your disagreement and demanding an apology. Use
the ideas suggested and add at least one of your choice.

You are the press office secretary of a political party. Your political party has asked
you to look for a hotel in Madrid to hold its annual meeting next spring. Write an
email of enquiry to the manager of a hotel that has been recommended to you to
ask about their availability and all the information you need to organize the
meeting

information does not have to be true!). Then write a formal letter of application for

A friend of yours who works for a charity called ‘Fair Trade’ has asked you to help
them promote their work. Write an article for the local newspaper describing what
they do and encouraging readers to purchase their socially and environmentally
friendly goods.

A group of students from Britain would like to visit your home town as part of an
exchange programme. Their leader has asked you to write a report describing
what there is to see and do in the town, and to describe some of the other services
and facilities that would be available to them.

The Principal has asked you to write a report about the museum and what you
saw there, saying whether it is of interest for all age groups in the school.

You are studying at Stanford University and you have been asked to write an
essay stating both the positive and negative aspects of the following statement:
“The importance of celebrities as role models and their influence on kids and
teenagers”.

Quite a lot of people have pets in their households. These pets are often treated
as relatives. What is your opinion of such relationships? Use specific reasons and
examples to support your views.

Some people believe that children should not be given homework everyday, while
others believe that they must get homework everyday in order to be more
successful at school.
