Chapter 5

Summary of Findings, Conclusion and Recommendation

This chapter is represented in four sections. The first section

contributes to an overall summary of the study followed by the summary of
the findings and their conclusions. Subsequent to this are the implications of
the study and followed by recommendations for future research.

Summary of Findings

The main goal of this study is to assess the competence level of Grade
11 Electrical Installation Maintenance students to established electrical
safety protocols. Since working with electricity is dangerous, it was important
to make sure that students have the necessary knowledge and skills to stay
safe. The study took place during the 2023-2024 academic year and used a
quantitative approach. To gather information, a survey questionnaire was
given to a specific group of 50 Grade 11 students in the Electrical Installation
Maintenance program. The results of the study provide valuable insights into
how competent students are when it comes to following electrical safety
protocols.

In this study the competence level of Grade 11 Electrical Installation

Maintenance students in electrical safety protocol revealed several
significant findings. The mean score for the students was determined to be
7.30, with a standard deviation of 3.50, indicating a intermediate level of
proficiency among the participants. Although most students showed
competence in electrical safety protocols, there were a few who scored
below the average, indicating areas where they could improve.

Conclusion

In this study it be concluded that most Grade 11 Electrical Installation

Maintenance students have a Intermediate level of proficiency when it comes
to following electrical safety protocols. The scores of the students vary, with
a significant number of them showing competence in electrical safety
protocol. However, there are also students who scored below the average,
indicating areas where the curriculum or delivery of electrical safety
education can be improved electricity. Overall, the study underscores the
importance of continuous assessment and enhancement of educational
programs to ensure that Grade 11 Electrical Installation Maintenance
students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely with
electricity.

Recommendation

1. Raise awareness about safety culture: Take action to spread knowledge

about the importance of safety within the school community. Encourage
everyone to follow electrical safety rules by organizing events like safety
campaigns, seminars, and workshops for both students and teachers.

2. Implement focused intervention initiatives: Create specialized intervention

initiatives designed to target the specific areas where students who scored
below the average in the assessment need improvement. These initiatives
should offer extra guidance and hands-on practice in important aspects of
electrical safety protocols.

3. Introduce customized remedial programs: Integrate personalized remedial

programs that cater to the specific needs of students who scored below the
mean in the assessment. These programs should provide additional
instruction and practical training in key areas of electrical safety protocols,
helping students strengthen their understanding and application of safety
measures.
