Resume Search

A Resume Search lets you develop a comprehensive search for Job Seeker Resumes.

The more criteria you select, the more targeted your results will be. You are not required to
use every field.
Use the Show links to enter additional criteria to better target your search.

Click the Edit My Settings link to change the available Search options on this page.
Saved Searches
This section lists previous searches you have run and saved. All information in that search
(locations, experience, education, etc.) will be used.
Search By Date
With this option, you can limit your Search Results to Resumes just created on the site,
and/or modified by the Job Seeker, within the date range that you choose.
Keyword Search
Keywords are words, phrases, and terms that you can enter to describe technical and
professional experience, locations and company names. By typing in various keywords, you
will maximize your chances of retrieving Resumes that most accurately match your Search.
The Resumes will show your keywords highlighted in red.

Do not include City/Town names in the Keyword field if you are including them for the explicit
purpose of searching for Job Seekers either willing to work in or who currently reside in that
specific City/Town. Use the Location fields provided to accomplish this task.

When searching for Job Seekers, we recommend that you first search using the Job Title,
Industry, and/or Category as Keywords.

If this doesn't return the results you're looking for, refine by adding Keywords related to the
skill set an ideal Job Seeker would possess.
AND When used between Keywords, AND connects multiple Keywords. Use AND
when you are looking specifically for results that have both terms.
Using AND narrows your search results.
If you don't separate your search words, AND is implied by default.

OR When used between Keywords, OR retrieves results that contain either word
surrounding it. Use OR when there is more than one word that describes the
same term.
Using OR widens your search results.
AND NOT When used between keywords, AND NOT excludes the keyword or keyword
phrase following it.
Use AND NOT to eliminate certain resumes from your search results.

"" When used around keywords, quotes define an exact phrase. Use quotes
around a phrase when you want to search for a specific phrase.
Using quotes narrows your search results.

() When used around keywords, parenthesis separate keyword phrases. Use

parenthesis when searching for multiple phrases at the same time.
Using parenthesis typically narrows your Search Results.
* Using * (Shift + 8) after a root word will bring back any results that contain a
variation of that root word in the title or description.
Using *, known as the wildcard, widens your search results. Use wildcards
when there are similar keywords that use the root word that would be an
appropriate match.

Near When used between Keywords, NEAR allows you to search for terms situated
within a specified distance of each other in any order. The closer they are, the
higher the document appears in the results list.
Search Specific Resume Sections

fields as part of the Resume building process.
Limit Results With this option, you can choose how far back into the database you would
like to search for resumes:

 Other selections, such as 1 Week or 6 months, etc. retrieve Resumes
created and/or modified during that time period.
