ENGINEERING DRAWING
(Electronics and Communication Engineering)

Time: 3 Hours Max. Marks:

60

Note: Answer any FIVE questions.

5 × 12 = 60
M
1. a) Construction a Pentagon of 50 mm sides and an Octagon of 20 mm
sides
6M

b)Construct a Diagonal Scale to read Kilometers, Hectometers and

Decimeters and to read up to 6 Kilometers. A length of 8 Kilometers is
represented by a line of 20 cm. Mark a length of 5.26 Kilometers on it.
6M

2. Construct an ellipse if the distance of focus from the directrix is 60 mm

and eccentricity is 2/3

3. a) Draw the Projections of the following Points 6M

i) Point A in HP and 50 mm in front of VP
ii) Point B 30 mm below HP and 60 mm behind VP.
iii) Point C 40 mm above HP and 60 mm in front of VP

b)A line of 100 mm long is appearing to be 60 mm in the front view. The

line is 30 mm above HP. Its one end is 30 mm in front of VP. Draw its
projections and find the inclination with VP. 6M

4. A line AB of 100 mm long is making an angle of 30 0 with HP. Its front view
is measuring 70 mm. The point A is 20 mm in front of VP and 30 mm
above HP. Draw its projections and find the inclination with VP.

5. A Pentagonal lamina of 30 mm sides is resting on one of its edges in HP.

Its surface is making an angle of 30 0 with HP and the edge on which it is
resting on HP is making an angle of 600 with VP. Draw its projections.

6. A Hexagonal Pyramid of 30 mm base edges and height 80 mm is resting
on one of its base corners in HP. Its axis makes an angle of 30 0 with HP.
Draw its projections.

7. Draw the Isometric projection of a Square Prism of 60 mm base edges and

80 mm height surmounted by a Cone of 60 mm base diameter and 60
mm height. Cone base is exactly on top of the prism.

8. Draw the front view, top view and the right side view of the object shown
in fig.1
