What are Styles


Styles templates apply a consistent font, font size, font color, and spacing to headings,
paragraphs, and titling throughout your document.
1. Select the Words, paragraph, list or table to edit.
2. On the Home tab, select a style.

What is Watermark and how to use it


A watermark is a picture or text that appears behind a document's contents. It's usually a light
grey or other neutral color so it doesn't distract too much from the document's purpose.
Usually, a watermark identifies a company or the document's status. For instance, a
watermark might say confidential, urgent, or display a symbolic graphic. Common
watermarks include:

 Draft
 Confidential
 Do not edit
 Do not copy
 Sample
 Urgent
 A graphic, such as an
organization's seal
or logo

Headers and footers are the top and bottom
sections of the document respectively. They are
separate sections from the main document, and are
often used to hold footnotes, page numbers,

titles, and other information. The information in the header or footer is repeated in
every header or footer in the document.

How to add border in MS Word?


Adding a page border to your document can be a subtle way to make your Microsoft Word
documents stand out. You can customize the style, thickness, and number of pages for a
border to apply to your Word document.

12. Equations and Symbols

In Word, you can insert mathematical symbols into equations or text by using the equation

tools.
1. On the Insert tab, in the Symbols group, click the arrow under Equation, and then
click Insert New Equation.

2. Under Equation Tools, on the Design tab, in the Symbols group, click the More arrow.

3. Click the arrow next to the name of the symbol set, and then select the symbol set that you
want to display.
4. Click the symbol that you want to insert.

Bullets and Numbering:


To start a numbered list, type 1, a period (.), a space, and some text. Word will
automatically start a numbered list for you.
Type* and a space before your text, and Word will make a bulleted list.
To complete your list, press Enter until the bullets or numbering switch off.

Create a list from existing text

1. Select the text you want to change into a list.


2. Go to Home> Bullets or Home> Numbering.

Indents and spacing
When you want to make precise adjustments to indentation and spacing of paragraphs in a
Word document, use the settings on the Indents and Spacing tab in the Paragraph dialog
box.
Newer versions Office 2011

1. Select the text you want to adjust.
2. On the Home tab, click Line and Paragraph Spacing, and then click Line Spacing
Options at the bottom of the menu.

The Paragraph dialog box opens.

3. On the Indents and Spacing tab, select the options you want, and click OK.
The Paragraph dialog box options are described in the following section.

Task 1:
Write a blog that includes:
 Introduction
 About me
 Partnerships and their logos
 Page number
 Use different font styles
 Apply an aesthetic theme that looks elegant
 Attach topic-related images
 Select HD quality images, not blur
 Use different social media icons
