PROOF OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

The existence of God in tangible figure was never


proven by any men but believers of the existence of God believe
that Bible is the proof of his existence. Bible contains sacred
texts, history, theology and morals of God, it is considered by
many believers as a key evidence of God existence. However, in
scientific points of view the Bible itself is not an evidence of God’s
existence. Its role as evidence depends on one’s perspective,
faith and belief. For others, like scientist it may be viewed as a
historical work or literary work without necessarily proving the
existence of God.

As to my claim, as I have never seen God as a tangible


entity, I will not considered Bible as proof of his existences. I do
have faith in God in divinely manners, but I can’t say that the
Bible is a proof that he exists. Faith was already in our culture
before the Spaniards colonization. We already worship the air, the
sea and the land as Gods, and by this reason alone, when Bible
was introduced to us by Spaniards, we embrace it with all our
heart as proof of God’s existence. Time passes, people are curious
about the Bible that was introduced to us by Spaniards. People
want answer, so they seek inquiry and investigate about facts of
the Bible. Some believe that Bible was the proof of God’s
existences, others believe it was just a literary work from the
past. For me Bible, may not prove the existence of God but it
keeps me going in times when life put a hard setback on me.
Bible keeps people going in their daily lives and it also unites
people in so many ways, I think its not the Bible and what was
written in it that makes me believe in God, it is the faith that I was
born to, that makes me believe that somehow God is real but it
doesn’t mean that I honestly believe that what was written in the
Bible was a proof that God really do exist. Bible was just an
overview for me about God and its history but it doesn’t mean
that I strongly believe that Bible was the proof of his existence.
My faith alone was the only fact that I believe that God exist
somehow in my heart.

Bible is a primary source for me because it’s the original


documents or artifacts that being analyzed or referenced directly.
It is the direct text from the time period but if I am scholar that
writes a book analyzing the Bible in the context of how it has
been interpreted, referenced or used in later works, then I will
consider Bible as secondary resources.

Therefore, I conclude that the Bible for me is not a proof


of God’s existence. Bible is the original artifacts being analyzed or
a direct text from the time period. The only fact that I believe that
God exist is my faith. As a child, I do believe that God really exist
in human form because of what was written in the Bible but as I
grow old, I have learned that its not the written text from the
Bible that make us believe in God, its our undying faith of a savior
that will save us from all the hurting, misfortunes and it is also
about saving our souls from hell itself. Bible for me is a primary
source because of its history of the text itself.
