Task: A Day in the Life

Objective: Students will use their mobile phones to capture a series of


photographs that tell a story about a typical day in their life. This project will
help them develop skills in composition, lighting, and storytelling through
images.

Instructions:

1. Planning:

o Brainstorm: Think about the key moments that make up your


day. This could include morning routines, school activities,
hobbies, family time, etc.

o Storyboard: Create a simple storyboard outlining the sequence


of events you want to capture. This will help you plan your shots.

2. Photography:

o Capture Moments: Use your mobile phone to take at least 10-


15 photos that represent different parts of your day. Pay
attention to composition, lighting, and angles.

o Variety: Include a mix of wide shots, close-ups, and medium


shots to add variety to your story.

3. Editing:

o Select Best Shots: Choose the best photos that effectively tell
your story.

o Enhance: Use a photo editing app to enhance your images.


Adjust brightness, contrast, and color balance as needed.

4. Presentation:

o Create a Slideshow: Compile your photos into a slideshow or a


digital album. Add captions to each photo to provide context and
enhance the narrative.

o Share: Present your slideshow to the class. Explain the story


behind each photo and discuss the techniques you used.

Assessment Criteria:

 Creativity: Originality and creativity in capturing and presenting the


story.
 Technical Skills: Quality of photos, including composition, lighting,
and editing.

 Storytelling: Ability to convey a clear and engaging story through


images.

Nature’s Beauty Through My Lens

Objective: Students will explore their surroundings and capture the beauty
of nature using their mobile phones. This project will help them develop skills
in observation, composition, and environmental awareness.

Instructions:

1. Exploration:

o Choose a Location: Select a natural setting such as a park,


garden, beach, or any place with natural elements.

o Observe: Spend some time observing the environment. Look for


interesting subjects like plants, animals, landscapes, or weather
phenomena.

2. Photography:

o Capture Details: Take at least 10-15 photos focusing on


different aspects of nature. Pay attention to details, textures,
colors, and patterns.

o Experiment: Try different angles, perspectives, and lighting


conditions to create unique and captivating images.

3. Editing:

o Select Best Shots: Choose the best photos that highlight the
beauty of nature.

o Enhance: Use a photo editing app to enhance your images.


Adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation to bring out the best
in your photos.
4. Presentation:

o Create a Gallery: Compile your photos into a digital gallery or a


photo book. Add captions to each photo to describe what you
captured and why it stood out to you.

o Share: Present your gallery to the class. Explain the significance


of each photo and discuss the techniques you used.
