Claws of the Woodland Terror

Magic Weapon (sickle), very rare (requires attunement)

Forged from the tusk of a Greater Tusk Drake, this sickle’s blade is carved into a
vicious curve. When wielded, faintly glowing spectral claws seem to extend from the
weapon, mirroring the drake’s fierce predatory nature.

Weapon Stats: This weapon deals 1d8 slashing damage and has a +1 bonus to attack
and damage rolls.

Spectral Claws. As an action, you can target a creature within 15 feet. Ghostly
claws extend from the sickle toward the target, attempting to grapple it. The
creature must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failure, it is pulled 10
feet closer to you and is considered grappled by the spectral claws. While
grappled, the creature is restrained and takes 1d6 slashing damage at the start of
each of its turns.

The grappled creature can use its action to make a Strength saving throw to escape
(DC 15). If it fails this check, it takes an additional 1d6 slashing damage from
the spectral claws tightening around it.

Once a creature escapes or is released, the spectral claws retract, and you cannot
use Spectral Claws again until you finish a short or long rest.

Twin Terror. If you are wielding a second Claw of the Woodland Terror in your off-
hand, you gain a +1 bonus to your AC as the spectral claws create a defensive
barrier around you. Additionally, when you hit a creature grappled by one of your
Claws with an attack from the other Claw, you deal an extra 1d6 slashing damage, as
the spectral claws from both weapons converge to rend the target.
