WHS Training Report

Summary of WHS training


The WHS training was conducted on August 1, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blue
Healer Cafe conference room. The training focused on hazard identification, safe manual han-
dling techniques, and emergency procedures. Participants included all cafe staff members

Training options
Immediate Term:
Monthly safety briefings to reinforce key WHS practices.
On-the-job coaching and mentoring by experienced staff to ensure new employees
understand safe work practices.
Future Term:
Bi-annual comprehensive WHS training sessions covering updated procedures and
regulations.
Formal certification programs for employees in advanced WHS practices.
Coaching and mentoring will be integrated with formal training programs to provide continu-
ous support and guidance, ensuring that employees are proficient in safe work practices.

General opinion on the outcomes of the training


Staff showed high adherence and compliance to the procedures during the training. Reactions were
generally positive, with active participation and engagement. A few staff members requested addi-
tional training on specific equipment handling. Current WHS practices appear effective in ensuring the
health, safety, and security of all employees, but periodic reviews and updates are necessary.

Feedback from staff who participated in the training


Feedback from the debrief highlighted the following points:

Appreciation for the practical demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions.


Requests for more frequent refreshers on emergency procedures.
Suggestions for additional focus on chemical safety and handling.

Overall, staff found the training informative and useful, but some indicated a need for more regular
updates.

Recommended actions
One recommended improvement is to implement quarterly safety drills. These drills will help staff
practice emergency responses and ensure that everyone is familiar with evacuation routes and proce-
dures. This enhancement aims to improve overall readiness and ensure a swift, coordinated response
in case of actual emergencies.
