and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what
is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing
which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
LET’S TALK
“I ’m born again, and I’ve received the Holy Spirit,
but I find myself doing the wrong things as a
result of negative thoughts in my mind,” a young man
said to me. I could understand his dilemma. This is an
experience some Christians have at some point in their
Christian walk.
When you were born, you didn’t just start walking
right away. First, you had to learn to sit, crawl, and then
take wobbly steps before you could walk confidently.
Each stage took time. Even though you were fully human
at birth, you couldn’t do everything adults do until you
were old enough.
It’s the same with being a Christian. When you’re
born again, you’re like a baby, and you need to grow
spiritually before you can show certain traits of your new
life in Christ. This growth may take some time. Before you
gave your heart to Christ, your body was trained to yield
to your human senses, and your spirit wasn’t in charge.
Now that you’re born again, the life of God is in you,

and a transformation is taking place in your mind. That’s
why you don’t feel right when your actions don’t match
what the Word teaches; it’s a sign that you’re now a child of
God. So, give yourself to this metamorphosis by meditating
more on God’s Word. Start yielding yourself to the leading
of your recreated human spirit rather than the dictates of
your flesh.

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
all creation.’”
LET’S TALK
G od has never used the angels to preach the
Gospel to people. Even if He gets the attention
of a sinner through an angel, He’ll get a Christian to
preach the Gospel to that sinner. That’s because He gave
to Christians the honour and responsibility of preaching
the Gospel (Acts 10:1-6).
He also gave us—His saints—the honour of
executing judgment in this earth over the forces of
darkness (Psalm 149:5-9). This means we have no excuse
for not preaching the Gospel and covering the earth with
His righteousness. He gave us the power to use His Name
against satanic forces. He said, “...Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to all creation...And these signs will
accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive
out demons…” (Mark 16:15-17 NIV).
Get excited about sharing the Gospel, and don’t
let anything hold you back. No matter what challenges
or persecution you might face, preach with courage.
Remember, you’re a soldier in God’s army, and real
soldiers don’t back down or give up. They fight until the
mission is complete. So, stay strong and determined to
win souls in these last days.

Before you go out to share the Gospel, spend time
to pray for those you’ll meet and prophesy their salvation.
Prophesy to your city, your nation, and the nations of the
world, that the Gospel has a free course and prevails in your
nation. Take your role as a praying priest and minister of
reconciliation seriously.

LET’S TALK
P ictures are one of the most powerful ways
your spirit holds on to the reality of the words
it receives. That’s why, when you read the Bible, it’s
important to see images of what it’s saying with the eyes
of your spirit. The blessings that you’ll see in your life are
the ones you’ve already seen and taken hold of. So, when
you study the Word, picture yourself living in health,
success, peace, and glory.
Before the physical manifestation of the glory and
victories that you desire in life, you have to see them within
you first. Once you can see it from within, then it’s yours.
You can’t have it on the outside if you didn’t first have
it on the inside. That’s where some have missed it. They
want to see first with their physical eyes before calling
it real; that’s not faith. Faith is calling real that which the
physical senses can’t perceive.
For example, God said to Abraham, “No longer
shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be
Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations...”
(Genesis 17:5). Abraham first had to visualise himself as
the father of many nations, and it was manifested in his

reality.
Is there something you desire to change in your life
or something you want to see? You must first see it in your
mind and picture that thing or situation the way you want
it; this is how you will see the physical manifestation.

that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
LET’S TALK
“W hat’s wrong, Manuel?” John asked his friend
who had been looking weak and sluggish
all day. “I always feel sick around this time of year. I guess
that’s just how God planned it, but I’m so tired of it,” Manuel
sighed. “
“No way, Manuel. God isn’t behind your sickness. If
you want things to change, you can! God has already given
you the power to make that change happen, but it’s up to
you to use it,” John asserted.
God is all-powerful, but the power to get the miracle
you desire is already inside you. You just have to activate it.
Read the opening verse again; it shows that whatever God
does in your life depends on how much of His power you
put to work. So, you can’t blame Him for the happenings in
your life. He’s not the one “delaying” things, either. You’re
the one who has to tap into the power that’s already in you.
It doesn’t matter what you need—whether it’s healing,
better grades or financial resources—the power to make it
happen is inside you. The Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “…
You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you….” That power is the dynamic ability to effect changes,
and the quickest way to activate it is by speaking in other

tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He who speaks in an unknown
tongue edifies himself….” That means the one who speaks
in other tongues energises or activates himself in the
supernatural; he stirs up divine power from within.
That power of God is also activated when you affirm
His Word with boldness. God and His Word are one. When
you declare the Word over any situation, you bring His power
into that situation and cause a change. Maintain the habit of
meditating on the Word, contemplating and speaking it forth,
and you’ll experience the release of the power of God in your
life.

“My dear friends, don’t believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh
and examine what people tell you. Not everyone who talks about
God comes from God....”
LET’S TALK
R omans 13:1 says, “Let every soul be subject unto
the higher powers. For there is no power but of
God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Some people
take this to mean they should just follow whatever anyone
with authority says. They might think, “He’s a famous leader,
so he must be right,” but that’s not how it works.
The above verse means you shouldn’t just follow
anyone without checking where their authority comes
from. It could even come from the wrong source. Be careful
because a leader chosen by God might still go against what
God wants.
The Scripture is replete with examples of people
who disobeyed God even though they were chosen by
Him. For instance, in 1 Samuel 15, Saul was told to destroy
everything in his battle against the Amalekites. He followed
most of the instructions but spared King Agag and some
of the best animals. God told Samuel, “I regret making Saul
king because he hasn’t followed My commands” (1 Samuel
15:11 AMPC).
Just because you agree with what someone in
authority told you doesn’t mean it was from God. Always

remember that God’s Word is the supreme authority by
which we judge all things. Always weigh and double-check
what you hear with the Word!

LET’S TALK
A s a Christian, one of the most crucial things
you need is a solid understanding of the Word
of God. The Lord said, “My people are destroyed for lack
of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6). Knowing the Word of God
personally is super important because it reveals God’s
will, His nature, and His purpose for your life. To neglect
the Word is to be in the dark about the will of the Father
and how He wants you to live.
We’ve got plenty of resources to help with your
personal study and understanding of God’s Word. For

“We ourselves, then, will give our full time to prayer and the work
of preaching.”
LET’S TALK
“F red, it’ll soon be noon. I hope you’re ready to
pray with Pastor Chris for just fifteen minutes?”
Stanley asked.
“Oh, sorry, but I’m going to skip the prayer today. I
have some urgent things to attend to,” Fred replied.
“That’s not right, Fred. If you had an important meeting
with the President at a particular time, I’m sure you’d be
ready hours ahead, and nothing would make you miss that
appointment.”
“Sure, why did you say that?”
“Well, God is greater than the president of any nation;
why would you want to miss a special time alone with Him?”
Fred wondered.
Prayer is so important, and it’s not to be toyed with!
Jesus showed this all through His earthly ministry. Matthew
17 recounts the story of an epileptic boy whom Jesus’
disciples couldn’t heal. He was eventually brought by his
father to Jesus, and the Bible says, “…Jesus rebuked the
demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured
from that very hour” (Matthew 17:18).
The disciples were confused, so they went to Jesus
privately and asked why they couldn’t cast out the demon.
Jesus replied, “…Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say
to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this
mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and

nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not
go out except by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:20-21).
What Jesus said shows us that some things require extra
preparation. The level of impact you want to make spiritually
depends on how serious you are about praying. If you’re
trying to bring something big into reality, it’s going to take
more time and intense fellowship in prayer.
That’s why it’s so important to have your own personal
prayer times, where it’s just you and God with no distractions.
Have a planned and robust prayer routine; schedule quality
times where nothing can interrupt you. Give more attention
to this.

KNOW?
KING DAVID
David, one of the most prominent figures in the Bible, was
a shepherd, warrior, poet, musician, and Israel’s greatest
king. But his life and writings also contained several striking
connections to the Lord Jesus Christ. From his prophecies about
Jesus’ crucifixion to similarities in their roles as shepherds and
kings, David’s life foreshadowed the Messiah in extraordinary
ways. Here are some fascinating facts that reveal these deep
connections:
David’s Prophetic Psalms:
David’s lamentation in Psalm 22 was a direct foreshadowing
of Christ’s suffering. He said in Verse 1, “My God, my God, why
hast thou forsaken me?” These were the exact words Jesus
cried out on the cross (Matthew 27:46). Verses 14 to 18 also
offer a detailed description of the Crucifixion centuries before
it happened:
• “They pierced my hands and my feet” (Psalm 22:16); the
Crucifixion of Lord required the piercing of His hands and feet
(Matthew 27:35).
• “They part my garments among them and cast lots
upon my vesture” (Psalm 22:18). The Roman soldiers cast lots
for Jesus’ clothing during the Crucifixion (John 19:23-24).
Jesus Was a Direct Descendant of David:
Jesus’ genealogy is traced directly to David, as shown in both
Matthew 1 and Luke 3, fulfilling the prophecy that the Messiah
would come from David’s lineage (Isaiah 11:1, Jeremiah 23:5).

Both Born in Bethlehem:
David and Jesus share the same birthplace—Bethlehem.
David was anointed king in this small town (1 Samuel 16),
and centuries later, Jesus was born there (Luke 2:4-7).
Both Shepherds:
David was a shepherd boy before becoming king (1 Samuel
17:34-36), and the Lord Jesus is the Great Shepherd of the
sheep (Hebrews 13:20).
Both Priests:
2 Samuel 6:12-20 gives a vivid account of David performing
the priestly office, and the Lord Jesus is referred to as our
great High Priest in Hebrews 4:14.
Both Kings:
David was Israel’s greatest king, and Jesus is the eternal
King of kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16).
Both Prophets:
David was not only a king but also a prophet, as seen in
his many Messianic prophecies. The Lord Jesus was also
widely regarded as a great prophet throughout the New
Testament (Luke 24:19). However, He was beyond just being
a great prophet. He was the consummate prophet and the
consummate fulfillment of prophecy!

Do It Without Selfish Ambition)

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in
humility value others above yourselves.”
LET’S TALK
H ave you ever read the story of Elijah’s epic
showdown with the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings
18? Some people might think Elijah was just trying to
show off and get attention, but that’s not the case.
Elijah had challenged King Ahab to bring all of Israel
and the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, plus four
hundred prophets of Asherah, to Mount Carmel for a
face-off. The plan was to prepare a sacrifice and call on
their gods to send down fire. The prophet whose God
answered with fire would be the one with the true God.
So, both sides prepped their sacrifices. The
prophets of Baal called on their god, screamed, and even
cut themselves from sunup to sundown, but nothing
happened! Then it was Elijah’s turn. He didn’t just ask for
fire, he soaked the whole altar with water first. Then, he
called on God, and boom! Fire came down from heaven
and consumed everything—sacrifice, water, altar and all!
Hallelujah!
Check out what Elijah said in 1 Kings 18:36 NASB:
“…O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, today let
it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your
servant and I have done all these things at Your word.” Elijah

wasn’t doing it for fame or to be seen; he was following
God’s lead. That whole event wasn’t about him; it was about
showing that the God of Israel was the one true God. And
because of it, a lot of Israelites ditched their false gods and
turned back to the real God.
Elijah’s actions were all about glorifying God, and
that’s how it should be for us too. Whatever you do for
the Lord should be for His glory and never for your self-
ambition. It should be for and to His glory. You must learn
to follow the Spirit in the Word, by the Word, and through
the Word just like Elijah did. As you do, your works and
ways will glorify the Lord.

makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”
LET’S TALK
D id you ever try to drive a car or truck without
turning the ignition on? If you did, you would
have found out that vehicle wasn’t going anywhere unless
the engine was started first. The same thing applies when it
comes to your words and prayers: before you make public
declarations of God’s Word, you’ve got to have a private
time of prayer first! Prayer is like the key that turns on the
ignition and starts the car engine.
Many Christians speak forth words ever before
spending quality time in prayer, and then they wonder why
their declarations aren’t effective. Here’s the deal: change
comes through your words after you’ve stirred up power in
prayer. When you’ve made power available, then you can
make proclamations of faith, and the change you desire will
be established.
Take Elijah’s story in 1 Kings 17-18 for example. He
prayed earnestly, and a drought hit the land for three-and-
a-half years—not a drop of rain! (James 5:17). When it was
time for the rain to return, Elijah prayed again. But it wasn’t
just a quick “God, bring the rain” kind of prayer. He prayed
hard and long for several hours, maybe even days.
He sent out his servant six times to see if there was
a sign as he continued in prayer, expecting an answer. The
servant came back the seventh time and said, “I see a small

cloud, very small, like the size of a man’s hand, rising out of the
sea.” That was all Elijah needed; he knew he had prevailed! He
told his servant, “...Quickly then, on your way. Tell Ahab, ‘Saddle
up and get down from the mountain before the rain stops you’”
(1 Kings 18:44 MSG).
Can you see the pattern? Elijah prayed first, made power
available, and then gave the word. That’s the key! After you’ve
had your intense prayer session, then you can speak forth
“rhema” (God’s Word), and you’ll be able to change things in
your life, your family, your city, and even the world, glory to
God!

never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it,
and is unreceptive to it].”
LET’S TALK
T he Apostle John describes how Jesus (the Word)
was in the world, but the world never recognised
Him. He unequivocally states that God’s Word is life; that
life being the light of men! In the fifth verse, he continues,
“And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did
not comprehend it.” The word translated “comprehend” is
the Greek “katalambanō,” and it means to seize, attain,
overtake, or overpower. It also means “to overcome.”
Thus, the light shines in darkness, and the darkness can’t
attain to its power; it can’t overcome or overpower it.
Think about this: have you ever turned on a light,
and the darkness in the room was so intense that it made
the light disappear? That could never happen! Even the
smallest flicker dispels the deepest darkness. That’s how
powerful light is.
This should help you understand who you are. When
Jesus said “You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:14),
He was talking about your calling as a Christian, and you
must become conscious of this truth. You are to light up
the dark places around you. Darkness can’t comprehend
you because you’re shining as God’s light! Right where

you are, you’re the light. If there are problems, you’re the
one with the answers. You’re the one with creative ideas
and solutions. Therefore, light up your world today: “Let
your light so shine before men that they may see your moral
excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and
recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who
is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16 AMPC).

LET’S TALK
“O h, my goodness! Jane, what happened to your
arms? Why do you have so many cuts and
bruises?” Monica screamed.
“I told a lie, and I couldn’t stop feeling guilty about
it. And I read somewhere that when you sin, you must be
punished for it, even if you have to do it to yourself,” Jane
said as she pulled down her sleeves to hide her injuries.
“No, Jane, you didn’t have to do that! Jesus already
took all the punishment for everyone, including you. He was
bruised, beaten, and sacrificed for your sins, so you don’t
need to punish yourself anymore. Please, don’t do this
again,” Monica gently corrected.
“Can you tell me more about Jesus?” Jane asked, and
Monica went on to share the Gospel with her.
Some people, like Jane, hurt themselves or do other
extreme things, in a futile attempt to pay for their sins. If
this has been your experience, stop immediately! It’s futile
because Jesus paid fully for you. Stop hurting yourself in an
attempt to atone for your sins. Jesus became the ultimate
sacrifice for us, which means you don’t have to suffer for
your mistakes.
The Greek word translated “propitiation” in our

opening verse is “hilasterion,” and it means the place of mercy
or “Mercy Seat.” In the Old Testament, the Mercy Seat was
the covering of the ark of God. He met the High Priest there,
and His presence was upon the Mercy Seat. But today, Jesus
Christ is God’s place of mercy for us; He’s the Mercy Seat, the
medium of expiation.
Jesus was born for this purpose so that God would
declare His own righteousness for letting sinners go free. You
have, in the Lord Jesus Christ, your permanent Mercy Seat; He
offered up Himself as the perfect sacrifice so you would never
have to pay for your sins again. This is the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. Receive it for yourself, and tell those in your world.

“And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy
Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
LET’S TALK
W hen it comes to receiving the Holy Spirit, a lot
of people misunderstand the Scriptures. For
example, in Luke 11:13, Jesus said, “If you then, being evil,
know how to give good gifts to your children, how much
more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those
who ask Him!” Jesus wasn’t talking to Christians here. He
was talking to those under the Old Covenant.
Back then, anyone could have received the Holy Spirit
just by asking, but sadly, most didn’t because they never
asked. Jesus said ask and it shall be given to you (Luke
11:9). However, after Jesus rose from the dead and the New
Testament began, the Word never tells us to ask for the
Holy Spirit. What we’re told is how the apostles ministered
the Holy Spirit to people; they “...prayed for them that they
might receive the Holy Spirit” (Acts 8:15), and some received
without prayer (Acts 10:44-46).
So, there’s no need to ask God for the Holy Spirit
today because He’s already been given to everyone! All you
need to do is believe the Gospel, and you can receive Him.
The Bible says in Acts 2:17, “In the last days, God says, I will
pour out my Spirit on all people...” (NIV). Notice God didn’t
say “I will pour out of My Spirit upon all Christians” but
“upon ALL PEOPLE.” This is the Father’s blessing which has
come today! Without the Holy Spirit, you can’t truly live the
Christian life. God desires that you walk in the fullness of the
Spirit and live righteously and victoriously in this present

world.
Galatians 3:14 says, “…Receive the promise of the Spirit
through faith.” So, if you haven’t received the Holy Spirit
since you’ve been born again, you can receive Him now by
faith—just the same way you received salvation in Christ. All
you need to do is simply say, “Dear Father, I thank you for
the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. I open my heart now, and
I receive Him by faith, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
While thanking Him, you’ll be filled with the Spirit, speaking
in tongues and prophesying, Glory to God!

LET’S TALK
U ntil the Rapture of the Church, we’re supposed
to rule and reign as kings on earth through Jesus
Christ. Later, during the millennial reign of Christ, we’re not
just going to reign through Him but with Him. And it doesn’t
stop there; we’ll also reign with Him in the New Heaven and
the New Earth!
The Bible says we are “…priests of God and of Christ and
will reign with him for a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6 NIV).
2 Timothy 2:12 NIV says, “If we endure, we will also reign with
him….” But that’s all in the future. Right now, we reign through
Him in this life! How amazing is that?
You’ve got to walk in this consciousness. Remember
what Romans 6:4 says: “Therefore we have been buried with
Him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too
may walk in newness of life” (NASB). This new life is the life of
kings. Revelation 5:10 says He’s made us kings and priests:
and we shall reign on the earth.
If you’re born again, you’re a whole new person with a
kingly mindset and values. See life from that perspective of
victory and reigning only. The Amplified Classic version of our
opening verse says we shall reign as kings in the realm of life.
You’re a king; reign as one! Rule with words because that’s
what kings do!

The Bible says, “Where the word of a king is, there is
power…” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Exercise dominion through words.
Issue commands to the devil, his cohorts, and the elements of
this world, and they’ll hear and obey you because you function
in, and with, the dominion of Christ. You can alter the course
of events and change circumstances from the privacy of your
room.
That’s why you should never be moved by anything. It
doesn’t matter what the situation is; you can cause it to align
with the will of God through your faith-filled words. Glory to
God!

ad, why do we have to pray so often? Roseline
asked her dad right after their morning
“Well, that’s because persistence is essential when
you’re praying to change a situation,” he explained.
The Amplified Classic version of our opening verse
places much emphasis on persistent prayer: “…The earnest
(heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes
tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” The
word “continued” is a clear indication that there must be
some persistence. You don’t just mumble a few words and
then say the issue has been instantly resolved. You keep
pushing through in prayer until you have that note of
victory in your spirit.
Think about Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He
took His three closest disciples—Peter, James and John with
Him there to pray, and Matthew 26:39 tells us: “He went a
little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, ‘O My
Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless,
not as I will, but as You will.’”
Luke, by the Spirit, relates the same event thus: “…
Being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat
became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground”
(Luke 22:44).
Jesus was distressed, and He prayed with much

intensity. This was no casual five-minute prayer! Recall that
He reprimanded the disciples for their sleepiness and inability
to keep watch (pray) with Him for an hour (Matthew 26:40).
The stakes were high for Jesus—He wasn’t just praying
for Himself but for the salvation of generations past, present,
and future! So, He persisted in prayer. This is what is required
of us today. We must keep praying and interceding until the
last soul that must be won is reached and brought into the
Kingdom before the Rapture of the Church. The stakes are
much higher now than they’ve ever been!

LET’S TALK
G od’s Word is His creative material, and its power
is unlimited. The Word created all things, and
it is effective today as ever. His Word to you at any time
in your life, regarding any situation, is all you need. Think
about what He did for King Solomon. How did God make
Solomon the wisest person that ever lived before the Lord
Jesus? Just with words!
God showed up in a dream and asked Solomon what
he wanted. Solomon asked for wisdom and understanding
(1 Kings 3:8-9). God didn’t open Solomon’s brain and stuff it
with wisdom. No, He just said to him, “Solomon, you’ve got
it! I’ve given you a wise and understanding heart such as
none before you ever had, and none after you would ever
have” (1 Kings 3:12). The moment Solomon received those
words, they became in him what God said, and from then
on he became the wisest man that ever lived, until Jesus.
Glory to God!
God did the same thing with Abraham. Abraham
didn’t have kids because his wife Sarah couldn’t have any,
but God said: “Your name is now Abraham, because I have
made you a father of many nations” (Genesis 17:5 NIV).
From that moment on, Abraham didn’t care about how old
he was or how impossible it seemed. He just believed what
God said and started calling himself a father, even before

he had any kids.
His Word to you is all that matters; that’s your victory.
Read Romans 4:19-20; it says, “And not being weak in faith,
he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was
about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but
was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.” That’s how it
works: when God says it and you respond by affirming the
same thing, His Word becomes real and prevails in your life’s
circumstances. Hallelujah!

“Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens
carried with one hand doing the work, and the other keeping hold
of a weapon.”
LET’S TALK
A s they rebuilt the broken walls of Jerusalem,
Nehemiah and his fellow Jews were faced with
intense opposition from their enemies. Those folks were
determined to stop the building by any evil means, even
if it included killing the builders. Nehemiah got wind
of their intentions, so he led God’s people to continue
building, but, this time, he prepared them to ward off
any attack. Each builder held a weapon in one hand
while working with the other and took every necessary
precaution against any assault from the enemy.
Now, this was written for our learning (Romans 15:4).
We’re partners and co-workers with the Lord in building
His Church as we win souls and carry out the work of
the ministry. Yet, while carrying out this assignment, we
must be ready to fight against the decrees of darkness
intended to force us to live in a world that’s hostile to
the Gospel.
Knowing that his time is short, Satan is trying to
move ahead to create an “antichrist environment” before
his time. So, we must be alert, keen-eyed, and on the
offensive! 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be of sober spirit, be on the
alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a
roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Stay awake
and alert; listen with your spirit as you speak in tongues

and meditate on the Scriptures. The Lord will give you
strategies and guidance on how to effectively dismantle
the structures of the adversary.
Refuse to be moved by the confusion, fear and
deception in the world today. By the power of God’s Spirit,
we (the Church) are exercising our authority in Christ and
bringing in the new order of things. Get vitally involved in
this. Pray like you’ve never done! When we call for days of
global prayer and fasting, make sure to participate. We’re
setting in place a new world order in the spirit, where the
Gospel has free course. And this is all in preparation for the
soon return of our Lord and King, Hallelujah!

ord, I just wanted to remind you about my
car request. Please Lord, it’s all I ask for,” Ryan
“The car isn’t a problem, Ryan,” the Holy Spirit replied,
“the question is, would you consider others’ requests as
much as you do yours?”
“Others’ requests?” Ryan inquired.
“Yes, others’! Read what Philippians 2:4 says about
looking out for others as much as yourself!”
Philippians 2:4 says, “Don’t just think about your own
affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are
doing” (TLB). In other words, look out not only for your
own interests, but also for the interests of others. When
you pray, it shouldn’t always be about you, your family, or
things related only to you.
Let your prayers be for a greater cause than just
yourself. Think and pray beyond your needs. It’s your
responsibility to change the world through prayer, ministry,
and protagonism. That’s what you have to do; otherwise,
you haven’t lived!
You’ve got to develop a champion spirit! Champions
don’t fight for themselves; they fight for others. That’s what

we read in our opening verse; it says, “...Put yourself aside,
and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting
your own advantage....” (MSG). There are many who are going
through a lot of hurt, for whom we must pray.
Be moved by the poor conditions of those suffering
around you. Let the plight of the poor, the sick, and the
downtrodden stir compassion in you to intercede for them
and cause a change in their lives today. Remember, we have
a divine responsibility to intercede for the nations, leaders,
and peoples of the world, especially as we are in the last
hours of the last days.

LET’S TALK
S ometimes, when a group of people desires
certain changes from their government, they
express such desires by rioting and causing pandemonium
in the streets. However, this isn’t God’s way to effect a
change. If you read our opening verse, you’d see clearly
how to change things in your favour. You’ve got to pray to
experience peace in your nation; it’s not by bearing arms
or becoming riotous.
It’s a fact that the happenings in our world today
are quite concerning, but, hang on; the Church holds the
solution! The Church is the only restraining power against
evil on the earth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7). That’s why
you must pray instead of joining in riots and protests. If
you don’t pray for your country and its leaders, where
would peace come from?
The result of real intercession for everyone in
your country, especially the leaders, is an overwhelming
experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity.
When you pray and contend for the hearts of the unsaved
in your country and around the world, God’s righteousness
is established, and evil, turmoil, wickedness and terror are

thwarted.
So, rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility
of prayer. Pray earnestly and passionately in the Spirit for
the nation where you live, and her leaders, and for the
rest of the world. Pray also for ministers of the Gospel that
they’d be granted more grace to preach the Gospel, with
boldness and power, and that many more souls would be
added to the Church all around the world.

care of the sins he had so patiently endured.”
LET’S TALK
T here are Christians who only get conscious of
God’s presence when they’re in church. Therefore,
they figure that they need to “perform” or “be on their best
behaviour,” hoping to please Him with their sanctimonious
actions.
Others are so sin-conscious that they’re fixated
only on making no mistakes so God wouldn’t punish
them. They calculate each footstep, smile sheepishly, and
greet everybody around them because they think that’s
what righteousness is all about! However, that’s not the
righteousness the Lord Jesus brought to us, and you
shouldn’t live like that: live genuinely and get rid of all eye
service!
Jesus Christ has become your righteousness. Boldly
affirm that Christ is your righteousness and walk in the
light of His righteousness. It’s like being covered in His
glory. You’re not seen; it’s His light and glory that are seen.
It’s His power that’s made manifest as you walk in His
righteousness. That’s our blessing as new creatures in Christ
Jesus. You don’t have to “perform” before God or achieve

your own form of righteousness.
Don’t allow sin and the guilt of your mistakes dissipate
your zeal for God and faith in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says,
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we
might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
You’ve become the expression of His righteousness
because He manifests His righteousness through you. He
took your place of sin and gave you His righteousness. What
a glorious reality! Hallelujah!

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power
of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not
wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
LET’S TALK
I n medieval times, prosperous cities and kingdoms
built high walls and garrisons to ward off attacks
from their adversaries. As a tactical measure, an invading
adversary would typically not announce their impending
attack. Hence, the high-walled cities had to be primed with
alert soldiers, night and day, who were always prepared for
the evil day of the attack.
Similarly, as Christians, Scripture instructs us to be
primed and ready ahead of the evil day. That’s why the
first part of our opening scripture admonishes that you be
strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The Lord
will never tell you to do something you can’t! If He says “Be
strong in the Lord,” it means that’s what you need to do,
and you can do it!
In the eleventh verse, He instructs us on what to do
against the devil. If you put on the whole armour of God as
He said, you’ll be able to stand against all the stratagems,
schemes, manoeuvres, and manipulations of the devil. The
reason many falter when they face challenges is that they

don’t act on the Word. In the verses we read in our opening
scripture, God instructed us clearly on what to do. What He
said in verse thirteen is the reason for verses 10-12.
There’s a day of trouble (the evil day); it’s to be
anticipated. There’s an enemy out there seeking whom to
devour, and when he has the opportunity, he’ll strike. But
we’re not ignorant of His devices. Satan isn’t a factor. As long
as you’re strong in the Lord—keeping His Word in your heart
and your mouth—you’ll disconcert the enemy whenever he
shows up. As long as the Word of God is your arsenal, you’ll
always win. The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit with
which you cut the devil down. Hallelujah!

LET’S TALK
W e can see clearly from the Scriptures and
events in the world today that we’re in the
final days before the Rapture of the Church. In other
words, “our King is coming!” This isn’t the time to loaf
around; there’s a lot the Lord wants to do through you in
the short time left. You’ve got to work with the mentality
that His appearing could be any minute, and be very
passionate for the Gospel. Work hard to ensure its spread
and impact around the world (today’s “Act” below shows
one of the ways you can do this effectively).
As the Scriptures tell us, the Antichrist will only be
given three-and-a-half years for the Great Tribulation.
It’s going to be a period of intense trouble, worse than
the world has ever experienced and will ever experience
(Matthew 24:21), and it’ll be worldwide in scope. The Lord
said, “If those days had not been cut short, no one would
survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be
shortened” (Matthew 24:22 NIV). Imagine the magnitude
of evil and destruction that could be perpetrated by the
Antichrist that would warrant a divine shortening. That
also tells us something: We too can do a lot of good
within a short time; we can shake up this world!
It begins with you giving more attention to prayer,

especially praying for the impact of the Gospel worldwide
in these last days. This is very important; it’s not just about
you; it’s about the future of our world. Before the Rapture,
we’ve got to dominate this world like never before! Jesus
isn’t planning to “snatch” us out of this world as though
we’ve been victims. Remember that He overcame the world.
He’s coming for a victorious Church, a triumphant Church.

“INFLUENCE”
Influence implies power to affect persons or events,
especially power based on prestige. It also means “the
act or power of producing an effect without apparent
exertion of force or direct exercise of command”
(Merriam-Websters 11th Collegiate Dictionary).
Joseph of Arimathaea was given access to the body
of Jesus after His crucifixion because he was a man of
influence. As a Christian, you’ve been called to be a
person of influence in your world. You’ve been chosen to
make great impact in your generation for God, and you
don’t have to be a pastor or prophet to do this. Don’t
think in terms of titles; think in terms of function. Ask
yourself, “How can I affect my environment today?”
Make up your mind not to live an ordinary life. God
needs you to be a person of influence so you can speak
for the Church, the Body of Christ.

prepared in these last days before the Rapture, you’re
not only going to be triumphant in your city, but also
everywhere you go. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born
of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that
conquers the world, even our faith” (AMPC).
This has got to be your mentality. You’ve got to see
yourself as a victor always. When we say Christ has given
your life a meaning, that’s what we’re talking about because
you’ve come to a place where you realise life isn’t for defeat;
your journey is one of victory heaped upon victory. That’s
the kind of life we received in Christ. It makes no difference
that the world is in crisis; there should never be fear in you.
Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in Me
you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world
you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration;
but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain,
undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived
it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you]”
(John 16:33 AMPC).

He overcame the world for you. To be born again is
to be born of God, and 1 John 5:4 says whatever is born of
God is victorious over Satan, the world and its failing system.
Hallelujah! Get excited when you face troubles or crises
because you’re confident it’ll all turn out for your good. This
is because, in our Kingdom, we win only and make progress
from glory to glory. We dominate this physical world with the
principles of our heavenly Kingdom, Hallelujah!

LET’S TALK
T he Church isn’t a conglomeration of religious
groups; rather, it’s the Body of Christ, and it is
full of glory. This is what Paul began to explain in the first
chapter of the book of Ephesians. And then in Ephesians
3:6, he submits that “…the Gentiles are now to be fellow
heirs [with the Jews], members of the same body and joint
partakers [sharing] in the same divine promise in Christ
through [their acceptance of] the glad tidings (the Gospel)”
(AMPC).
1 Corinthians 12:27 tells us that we’re the Body of
Christ and members individually. You might ask, “But
Pastor, how did we become members of the Body of
Christ?” It was by being baptised into Christ at the New
Birth! Our opening verse says, “To Him (our Heavenly
Father) be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
That means from generation to generation, the Father
is glorified in the Church by Jesus Christ. The desire and
ministry of Jesus is to glorify the Father always, and He
does this through the Church.

Remain bold and courageous for and with the Gospel,
even in the face of belligerent persecution and opposition,
because His glory is in and upon you. With that glory, you
triumph over sickness, diseases and poverty, and reign
victoriously in life. The Church of Jesus Christ is glorious,
triumphant, flourishing and full of dominion, wisdom, and
power. Hallelujah!

LET’S TALK
W hen you really know the Lord Jesus, your
worship and praise of Him become meaningful.
They’re not merely inspired by the beauty or melody of the
song. Rather, they effuse from the deep recesses of your
heart in true fellowship, based on your knowledge of His
greatness and loving-kindness. There may not even be any
music playing while you’re worshipping, but your heart will
be so enraptured and entwined with Him, and you’ll find
yourself bursting forth with songs and melodies of the Spirit.
Adherents of the various religions in the world praise,
worship, and pray. The question is, who is the object of
their worship? Who are they praying to? What are they
saying to him? And what might be his response, if any?
Your worship and praise of God has to come from a
place of knowledge of His Word. Otherwise, it would be
ineffectual and unacceptable to God. No wonder today’s
opening scripture says “...The hour is coming, and now is,
when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”
Also, in 1 Timothy 2:8, the Bible tells us, “I desire therefore
that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without

wrath and doubting.” As you lift your hands in worship, you’re
offering to Him a sacrifice of a sweet-smelling fragrance. Go
ahead and practise this now. Worship the Father from your
spirit and according to His Word with your hands lifted up.

LET’S TALK
W hen the Lord Jesus returns, He’s not coming
with whip in hand to scold you or with loads of
criticism about your shortcomings. No! The Bible tells us
that Jesus is coming for His glorious Church, one without
blemish and faultless before His eyes! You may say, “Is
that possible?” Absolutely! That’s what His redemptive
work was all about.
Colossians 1:21-22 CEV says, “You used to be far
from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you
did evil things. But his Son became a human and died. So
God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his
presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent.”
Through the sacrifice of His own body as the sin-payment
on your behalf, you now dwell in His presence. You’re no
longer enemies with God (Read Ephesians 2:13-16).
How comforting it is to know the true nature and
character of our heavenly Father! He brought us to
Himself. James 1:5 says He doesn’t find faults or blame
you for anything. He doesn’t count your sins against
you (2 Corinthians 5:19). You’re free from accusation;
you’ve been justified. No wonder Paul waxed poetic in
Romans 8:33-34 when he said , “Who shall bring a charge
against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who
condemns? It is Christ who died and furthermore is also

risen….” Then he gets to the climax in verses 38 and 39:
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels
nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things
to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Christ Jesus already died for you; He was condemned in
your place. No one should condemn you anymore (Romans
8:1). Christ is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). It
doesn’t matter who accuses you; you’re holy, faultless and
guiltless before God because Jesus took responsibility for
all your sins. He’s the reason God doesn’t charge you with
wrong. Hallelujah!

LET’S TALK
M any times when people who have done some
really heinous things that defy explanation are
asked the motive for their actions, they would say they
heard a voice or felt “something” pressurizing them to do
what they did. That’s the influence of demons! Sometimes,
people are possessed by demon spirits who influence them
to carry out such despicable acts.
That’s why God tells us to pray for people so they
wouldn’t come under such evil influences. The Bible tells us
in Luke 22:3 that Satan entered into Judas Iscariot. When
that happened, he left where Jesus and the other disciples
were and went to the chief priest to betray the Son of God!
When Judas saw Jesus hanging on the Cross, he
thought Jesus would miraculously deliver Himself, but
He didn’t. Matthew 27:3-5 tells us, “When Judas, who had
betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized
with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief
priests and the elders…So Judas threw the money into the
temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.”
What does that tell you? Satan caused him to do it.
This is what is happening with some people today;

they’re taking steps that are harmful to their lives, families,
businesses, and relationships. If you know anyone like this,
take some time to pray for them that they’ll have the will,
desire, and boldness to do what’s right and refuse to yield to
every corrupting and negative influence. Most importantly,
pray for their salvation if they are not born again.

“… ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in
darkness, but have the light of life.’ ”
LET’S TALK
C onsider carefully the profound words of
the Master in our opening scripture. He
unequivocally stated that He is the light of the world.
Again, in John 9:5, He declared, “As long as I am in the
world, I am the light of the world!” Light defines; it gives
direction and beauty, and it illumines. So, for anyone
to live without Christ is to live in gross darkness, utter
hopelessness, confusion, and ugliness.
How important it is to have the light of Christ! You
can’t even know yourself outside of Him because it’s
only under His light that your true identity is revealed.
The Bible says He is the Fountain of life, and our light is
from His light (Psalm 36:9 TLB); He is the true light that
illumines every person (John 1:9 AMPC), Hallelujah! If you
use the world’s “lights” to define your life, you’ll be in
trouble because you’re sure to see the wrong things. But
in Christ, you see the glory of God. You see that you’re
excellent and full of glory. His light shows you who you
are, what you have, and your abilities in Christ.
The Psalmist said in Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a
lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Christ and

His Word are one. This means His Word is the light. Apart
from showing you your endowments and blessings in
Christ, the Word guides you in God’s perfect will for your life,
imparting to you the wisdom to fulfil it. Through His Word,
you receive guidance as to specific details about your life,
family, ministry, finances, academics, etc., and definite steps
to take in actualising your set goals. The Bible says Christ
has been made unto us wisdom from God (1 Corinthians
1:30). Become more conscious of this, and you’ll function
with greater insight and knowledge, walking in success,
health, prosperity, peace, and strength always!

You’re seated far above the devil and the cohorts
of darkness and the negative influences of this world.
Nothing in this world can successfully stand against you,
for “…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the
world” (1 John 4:4). Therefore have the mentality that
you can’t be defeated or disadvantaged. You’ve been
translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son, who leads
you in the triumphal excursions of life.
What a life He’s given us! Take a moment to think
about the words in our opening verse again; The same
truth is expressed in John 15:16 where the Lord Jesus said,
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed
you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your
fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in

My name He may give you.” Jesus brought us into a life of
power, fruitfulness and productivity. All these are natural
with you now; they are your default setting, glory to God.
Christ has become your “able-to-do-it-ness.” This
means He has made you efficient and effective; it’s one of
the beautiful results of having the Holy Spirit in your life.
Acts 1:8 AMPC says, “But you shall receive power (ability,
efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you....” Approach everything you do with this mindset.

TO THE BIBLE Colossians 2:9-10
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you
are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
LET’S TALK
S ome think of Jesus Christ as just a man or even
a mighty prophet, but He is Himself God; the
totality of divinity resides in Jesus Christ. When you see
Jesus, you’re looking at the fullness of the God-head; He’s
the house of God in totality. When we get to heaven, we
wouldn’t be searching for God because He is completely
encapsulated in Jesus. Hallelujah!
“Fullness” in our opening scripture means “a
completeness” where nothing necessary is missing;
there’s no shortage; it’s a perfect completion. Something
most impressive about this is what we read in the latter
part: “You’re complete in Him, who is the head of all
principality and power.” Oh glory to God! How beautiful
it is to know that when God looks at you, He sees you
complete, lacking nothing necessary for life and godliness.
Just as there’s nothing of God lacking in Jesus,
there’s nothing of the Master lacking in you. The Master
never had a sense of lack because He knew the world and
everything in it belongs to Him. You also must walk in the
mentality of abundance because you lack nothing. You
have all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter
1:3).

This is the reality. Therefore, refuse to live with a
lack mentality as though there’re certain things you don’t
have.Take off the limits. Become totally inundated with this
consciousness, and see your life blossom in righteousness,
glory, and wisdom beyond your imagination. Hallelujah!

TO THE BIBLE Colossians 2:20
“Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the
world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves
to regulations?”
LET’S TALK
O ur opening verse lets us know that we’re not
subject to the principles of this world. Jesus
dominated this world; He lived above the decadence of the
world and the corruption and failure of His society. He lived
far above and beyond the government and systems of the
day when He walked the earth. That’s the life He’s given us:
one that’s not subject to, but dominates the rudiments of
this world.
He’s made us to function above and beyond the
systems of this world. He said you’re in the world but not
of the world. That means you’re to dominate the world.
Many around you may be influenced and provoked to
compromise due to the deceit, corruption, and wickedness
in today’s world, but not you! You hail from God’s Kingdom,
and your life is built on, and regulated by, His truth only.
Keep learning God’s Word. It’ll make you think and
talk like Jesus. In John 16:33, He said, “These things I have
spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the
world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.” Have the same consciousness because
He overcame the world for you. Although He lived in a

world plagued by gross darkness, deceit, economic hardships,
sickness, oppression, deaths, disasters, etc., He had a victor’s
mindset, the kind He expects you to function with.
When you face challenges, persecutions, distressing
situations, turbulent times, trials, and temptations, be unruffled
because in Christ you have overcome the world (1 John 4:4).
Let this consciousness reflect even in your prayer language.
It makes no difference the challenges you face; when you
pray, declare that in the Name of Jesus, you’ve overcome
the world and its systems, hatred, deceit, poverty, corruption,
depression, falsehood, and antichrist spirit. Hallelujah!

I’m independent of the hardships, corruption, evil and deceit
