1 Brief
This document describes the configuration that has to be done in Modscan Tool to
change Device ID of Secure make meter.

2 Configuration in Modscan Tool.


Open Modscan32 Software and connect with the device and follow the below steps.

1. Change following configuration settings and check the data on modbus with default device id.
a. Address – 2013 or 2014(42013 to 42014 is Modbus device id)
b. Device Id- 1(default meter device id is one)
c. Modbus Point Type- Holding Register

Just click OK after the above

Change the device id

3. Now device id has changed, Meter is not responding with old MODBUS ID(1) & Time out message is
displaying (marked in circle) .

4. Now device new ID is 10.

5. Procedure To change Baud rate:-


To change the baud rate use same procedure mentioned above.
Address =2015 or 2016 (address to change the baud rate)
Write 04=1200(Baud Rate),06=2400,08=4800 and 0A=9600 (Baud Rate).

By default meter Baud Rate is 9600.

Note: This procedure is tested for “PREMIER 300 SECURE METER”.
