Welcome to the Ripped After 40 - Back Finishers Program!

If your Back is a stubborn muscle group, then be sure to tack on these


Back finishers to your workouts 2-3 times per week to increase your
gains in your Lats and Rear Delts.

These workouts, while short, are NOT easy.

However, if you can push through the pain, you’re going to love the
results.

With that said, let’s get into these Back finishers for jaw-dropping
results.

Here’s how you’re going to add these finishers to your Ripped After 40
routines.

Perform 4 sets of 60-90 seconds of time under tension using (20-30 RM


per set). You can do this with a periodized plan or perform heavy and
light work in the same workout.

Choose 1-2 exercises in this manual for your TUT sets.

For shoulders, I recommend 2 sets of 2 different exercises listed.

Sets: 2-4
Time Under Tension: 60-90 seconds
Resistance: 20-30% 1RM

Perform slow and controlled pulls without breaking. 6-10 seconds


through the positive and negative portions of the movement until time is
complete.

Lat Pulldown

Sets: 2-4
Time Under Tension: 60-90 seconds
Resistance: 20-30% 1RM

More Tips To Grow Your Back

1. Now, if you need a bodyweight circuit for a massive back - try this
using the time under tension principle. Start with pull-ups. Do underhand,
overhand or a neutral grip. From there, perform a rack chin with your feet
elevated on a bench. And last, perform a rack chin, however, have your
feet pressed through the floor under you. This will be an amazing
bodyweight workout that will pump your back like the Incredible Hulk!

2. To prevent back pain or back injury, keep good posture throughout


each movement. You’ll notice as your lats fatigue from the exhaustion of
these time under tension sets, your body will want to ‘compensate’ to
make up for the pain. This may include the changing in posture. Do NOT
allow this to happen. Maintain proper posture throughout the entire 60-90
seconds.

3. Have you heard of the superman workout? This is a bodyweight


exercise where you lay face flat on the floor, arms in front of you and legs
behind you. If you want to exercise your lower back, raise your arms and
legs and hold this position until you can no longer hold it. Progress each
week you perform this exercise, executing a longer duration than the
week before.

I know they may look simple...

However, when you give them a try with your next workout you’ll see just
how challenging and effective these finishers really are. (You’ll love the
anabolic pump you get from them too)

Add these to the end of any routine to enhance your results of a


particular muscle group and it will get bigger and stronger.
