First you have to open the SEERStat App

Then Choose Case listing Session


Then choose the SEER registration that you are allowed to use in my case
Registration 8
Then click Selection, and please consider wither you need malignant behaviour only
or all behaviour.

Remove the
tick if you need
all behavious

Then click edit


Case Selection window will pop up, in this window select Site and Morphology and
select is = to

After clicking the Site and Morphology, you will get list of variables Click Site
recode ICD-0-3/WHO 2008
Then in the Values field search for “Lung and Bronchus”, when you find the “Lung
and Bronchus” click it to be blue. You can add more than one case selection as you
need in the same way.
Then click OK button
Then click Table

Then choose any variable you need for your study from Available variables field such
as Race, Age, Sex…etc, then add them to the Column.
Here an example of adding Patient ID, scroll down to Other folder.
After you double click the Other folder, you will get more list of variables. Click
Patient ID. It has to be highlighted by blue.
Then click Column button

Now Patient ID has been added to the Column. Since you selected lung cancer at the
beginning only Patient ID with lung cancer will be added.
You can add more variables as you need for you study using the same way.
Additionally, you can use Find button to find needed variable more easier.
To Save it as a CVS file, click Session

Then click Execute


If you get variable warning just click OK

Then wait until it finish processing

After it finish the processing a Case Listing Session -1 Metris -1 will pop up

Then click Matrix

A list will show up, form the list click Export


Then click Results as Text File…

Then Export window will pop up, in the Field Delimiter choose Comma, and click
CSV Defaults button, You can use Browse to save it in specific direct but be sure you
do that for both Data file and Export dictionary, they must be in the same directory.
Then Click Ok button. Now you have your CVS file for your study.
