Transformer lifting, loading, and unloading procedures

Part 1. Transformer lifting and loading

1. Preliminary preparation
1.1 The construction unit shall develop a transformer lifting plan and provide it to relevant
departments for review and confirmation.
1.2 Determine the construction personnel and lifting equipment for the transformer lifting plan,
ensuring that the construction personnel have relevant operation certificates.
1.3 Ensure the environmental safety of the construction site, clean the lifting area, remove
obstacles and debris, and ensure that the ground in the lifting area is flat and solid.

2. Preparation before lifting

2.1 Check the working condition of the lifting equipment to ensure that it is intact and undamaged.
2.2 Check the safety operation manual of the lifting tool, determine the scope of application and
limiting conditions of the lifting tool.
2.3 Determine the lifting capacity and working range of the lifting equipment to ensure that it can
meet the lifting requirements.
2.4 Install lifting equipment to ensure its stability and reliability.

3. Lifting operation
3.1 Determine the position of the lifting points and lifting ropes according to the lifting plan.
3.2 Select appropriate lifting equipment and ropes based on the weight and size of the transformer.
3.3 Adjust the height and angle of the lifting equipment to ensure that the transformer can be lifted
and placed smoothly.
3.4 Professional personnel shall operate the lifting equipment and direct the lifting operation.

4. Completion of lifting and subsequent work

4.1 Ensure the safe lifting and placement of the transformer in the designated position, loosen the
lifting equipment, and evacuate the lifting site.
4.2 Clean and maintain the lifting equipment to ensure its safe use.
4.3 Conduct an inspection of the transformer to ensure that it is not damaged during the lifting
process.
4.4 Clean up the lifting site, remove debris, and ensure the cleanliness of the construction site.

5. Precautions
5.1 During the lifting process, it is prohibited to move above or below the transformer to prevent
accidents.
5.2 During the lifting process, strictly follow the lifting plan and operating procedures, and it is
strictly prohibited to change the position and use of lifting equipment and ropes without
authorization.
5.3 During the lifting process, safety regulations should be strictly followed to ensure the safety of
personnel.
5.4 During the lifting process, pay attention to the changes in the transformer at any time, adjust
the position and height of the lifting equipment at any time, and ensure the safe lifting of the
transformer. At this point, the construction procedure for the transformer lifting scheme has ended.
Throughout the construction process, it is necessary to strictly follow the lifting plan to ensure the
safe lifting and placement of the transformer in the designated position. At the same time, a
comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the lifting equipment and transformer must be
carried out to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment.

Part 2. Transformer unloading

1. Inspect the transportation vehicle of the transformer

The firmness and reliability of transportation tools are crucial during the unloading process of
transformers. The quality of specific equipment such as vehicles, lifting machinery, and ropes also
directly affects the unloading results of transformers.

2. Develop safety measures

Effective measures must be developed for safety during the unloading process of
transformers. Effective safety measures must be taken during unloading, including specifying
safety signs, controlling traffic, restricting personnel entry, and pre-cleaning the unloading area. At
the same time, establish a sound safety management system, enhance the safety awareness of
unloading personnel, and ensure the safety and stability of the unloading process.

3. Prepare unloading area

The preparation work of the unloading area is also important during the unloading process of
transformers. The unloading area should be cleaned up to determine the work area and stacking
area to be used, as well as the stacking method required for unloading and installation. Set up
constraint angles, lifting frames, and other devices to ensure the stability of the unloading process.

4. Using professionals
To ensure the safety of transformers during unloading, it is best to use professional unloading
personnel. Professional personnel can unload the transformer quickly and effectively, and can
provide multiple unloading methods to ensure the safety and stability of the transformer.
Meanwhile, it is necessary to actively cooperate with professionals and provide assistance during
the unloading process.

5. Unloading according to operating procedures

During the unloading process of transformers, it is necessary to follow the operating
standards and procedures. During the unloading process, segmented disassembly should be carried
out according to the different parts of the transformer. At the same time, the lifting should be
carried out according to the lifting position of the equipment, the center position of the equipment,
and the center of gravity position.

6. Using lifting machinery for unloading

During the unloading process of transformers, it is often necessary to use lifting machinery
for lifting and unloading. If the lifting machinery during the unloading process cannot meet the
demand, it needs to be replaced or added in a timely manner. Meanwhile, according to the weight
and size of the transformer, select the corresponding lifting tools to ensure the safety and stability
of unloading.

In short, during the unloading process of transformers, various factors need to be fully
considered, and the unloading process needs to be carefully arranged. With the operation of
professional personnel, the transformer can be completely safely and stably unloaded.
