describing, analyzing, and designing systems that involve random phenomena.
At the end of the course students will be able to:
understand the uses and application of statistics
identify different techniques of sampling and understand the methods of data collection, organization, and presentation
have a basic understanding on describing data through measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion
have basic understanding on the elementary theory of probability and basic theorems of Probability
Define random variables and their probability distributions
have basic knowledge and understanding on the common discrete and continuous probability distributions
make a statistical inference about a single population
