Device Overview
The Exertherm Modbus Datacard is a high performance, Coloured LED’s mounted on the unit provide indication
remote data acquisition card for use in the Exertherm 24x7 of the Datacard health, power status and the Modbus
Thermal Monitoring System. The Datacard has the ability communications activity. Sensors are easily connected
to linearise and condition the signal from up to 8 various to the front of the data card via quick connect terminals.
Exertherm sensors. Processed information is offered via Industry standard RJ45 sockets located on the front of the
industry standard RS485 Modbus RTU protocol. unit enable simple connection to a RS485 Modbus network
with either socket being used as the input or output.
The Datacard is DIN rail mountable and 24V dc powered,
consuming no more than 0.4W. The power wiring allows
daisy chaining to simplify and minimise PSU requirements.

Application
The Exertherm Modbus Datacard linearises and conditions the input signals from the Exertherm
sensors to Modbus RTU output protocol, enabling system communication and easy integration with virtually
all BMS/SCADA systems.
The Exertherm sensors are connected via quick connect terminals located on the front of the data card.
These have spring loaded connectors to allow easy termination of sensors.
