12 The writing: ug-gu for ú-gu seems certain and fits the c
cf. CH prologue, 35-36: ra-ga-am ù se-na-am a-na hu-ul-lu-qi-im
ugu. . .dé and TCL 15, 12, 35: im- zu h lú - i-dutu-ka gú-ba
giri bí-gub "I put my foot on the neck of the thieves and the mischievous
people".
13 For this reading of iyú X g á n SL-tenu, cf. M. Ovil, Aju ¿b (iy74-7í>)
70 and A. Poebel, AfO 9 (1933-34) 256-73; J. van Dijk, JCS 19 (1965) 16 ad
151 and read there: hu-mu-un-ri-eš.
14 The signs after i n - t u k- seem to be: -a - a [ k ], but m
the two signs are erased: in-tuk-a-ak seems grammatically impossible.
15 After [nì-ga-é]-ad-da-na in A there is no sign; restore
in the line following: [ m a š ] - b [ i ] ; after: [é-gar8-é]-ad-da-na
in A there is place for one line with a short verbal form: perhaps a form of the
verb ba = zâzu "to share". The verbal form is to be restored also in text B.
