Farmers and ranchers know that providing safe, wholesome food begins with keeping animals

healthy.

They do this by using a variety of tools, including vaccines, good nutrition programs, biosecurity
measures and various types of housing to keep animals healthy and ensure safer food.

Farmers and ranchers often work with veterinarians to use antibiotics as part of an overall
animals care plan. Such as ;

1. Proper housing ; clean, well-ventilated and protects from the elements


2. Farmers personal care ; walks among need often to check animals health
3. Veterinarian care ; including preventive measures, such as vaccinations
4. Good nutrition ; fresh feed and water, sometimes with probiotics to ensure good health
5. Heightened biosecurity measures ; precautions taken on the farm to reduce germs
6. Antibiotics ; to prevent, control or treat disease in animals, farmers and ranchers often
work with veterinarians
