Magnetic Strip Readers are used to read data found on magnetic stripes on
the back of credit/debit cards.
Data: account number, Name, expiry date, PIN Number

Chip and Pin Readers are used POS terminals to make a secure payment using a debit
or credit card. The card stored all information except the PIN number..

RFID reads information stored on tags (small silicon chip that can be placed on a
sticker) using radio waves. RFID tags can be attached to objects or animals/people.

OMR is a device that can read marks written in pen or pencil
--it scan the sheet and stored the position of the mark in a computer’s memory

The document is scanned by scanner then the OCR software is a used to convert the
image text to editable text. The text can be used into application such as word
processor

Barcode readers is a scanner device that read information in the form of a barcode
-the barcode contains unique information about a product including price.
