Assignment Week 7

1. Draw a search tree for the 8-puzzle below using breadth-first search and solve the puzzle from this
initial state.

1 2 3
4 8 5
7 6

Ans. First we will move the 6th to the right box then we will bring the 8th straight down next to the 7th,
after that we will bring 5th to the left and finally, we will move the 6th to the place of 5th. So, in this way
we will get our goal. Below is the tree search.

1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3
4 8 5 4 8 5 4 5
7 6 7 6 7 8 6

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8

2. Draw the search tree when using the algorithm from Figure 11.10 to find a solution, and the initial
state is as shown in the accompanying figure. Use the heuristic presented in the lecture example.

1 2 3
5 7 6
4 8
Ans: First we will move the 7th straight to the down box then we will bring the 5th to it right, after that
we will bring 4th from below box to its top box and finally move 7th to its left below the 4th and moved
8th to the place of 7th. So, in this way we will get our goal. Below is the tree search

4. In supervised machine learning, an AI system is trained by giving it examples (training data) where
both the inputs and desired outputs are known. For instance, a model classifying animal pictures can
be trained by showing the training program pictures of cats and dogs, and informing it whether each
picture is of a cat or a dog. This 'training' with images and corresponding labels is called supervised
machine learning.
Assignment: Create an application using the 'GenAI: Teachable Machine' system that 1) identifies at
least three different things, and
2) reacts in some way to each different thing. For example, the application could play a rock-paper-
scissors game, respond to different facial expressions (happy/sad/surprised), or recognize which
Disney character appear in a particular image. Generally, it's good to have at least 30 examples in
each class for the classifier to work well. Once the application is ready, test its accuracy and see how
well the model identifies the desired classes. Write a brief report on your experience. Consider
a) How accurate was your model?
b) Did you encounter any problems during the training & testing?
c) How could you improve the accuracy of your model? Include a couple of screen shots of your
program?
Ans: a. It was showing 100% correction image when the class object near to camera as far as I was
bringing the image the accuracy percentage was decreased.

b. I did not encounter any problem while trainging but yes I faced problem while testing.
1. Where ther was nothing infront of the webcam so it was showing Pen 100%.
2. Not recognizing the object even a little far away from the webcam.
3. When there was nothing infornt of webcam machine was showing 50% mouse and 50% pen.
C. I will improve my accuracy by taking proper picture of objects and there should not be anything in
front of the webcam or simply it will be best option to collect image from google and then upload
them to classes.

5.In a separate attachment, there is an interview published in the Tekniikka ja talous magazine about
the impact of generative AI on jobs and an article on the same theme on the Finnishup website. Read
both articles and compare their views on the future and the impact of AI on jobs. On which points do
the articles agree and disagree? Based on the articles and your own knowledge, what do you think
about the impact of generative AI on future jobs?

Ans: Article 1: “Does AI Make People More or Less Intelligent?” by Young Entrepreneur Council
(Inc.com)
This article explores the impact of AI on human intelligence and productivity. It discusses how AI can
increase human capabilities, making people more efficient and intelligent by handling repeated
tasks. Besides that, it also raises concerns about over dependances on AI, which can diminish
person’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Article 2: “Generative AI’s Impact on Jobs and Workflows” by McKinsey
This article focuses on the specific impacts of generative AI on the job market. It highlights how
generative AI can grab significant portion of tasks across various industries, potentially displacing
jobs, especially in lower-wage sectors. However, it also emphasizes the opportunities to improve
skills which we can use in different types of jobs sectors.
Points of Agreement
Both articles agree on this that AI, can enhance human productivity by taking over boring tasks,
allowing people to focus on more complex and creative work. Both sources highlight the importance
of improving skills for the workforce by AI. They stress that education and continuous learning are
important to prepare for the future job market.
Points of Disagreement
The Inc.com article search into the aspect of whether AI makes people more or less intelligent,
suggesting a potential decline in critical thinking skills. While, the McKinsey article does not express
this aspect, and discussed the economic and practical suggestion of AI on jobs. The McKinsey article
provides a detailed analysis of which job sectors are most at risk of displacement due to AI,
particularly lower-wage jobs. The Inc.com article, however, does not go into specifics about job
displacement.

My Thoughts on the Impact of Generative AI on Future Jobs

Generative AI undoubtedly has the potential to revolutionize the job market and I will most
likely it will displace repetitive task very soon. However, AI is also playing role like one of the
best tutors for the one who can use it for learning.

6. Many people believe that the operation of computers depends solely on how they are
programmed, so computers have no free will. As a result, a computer cannot be held responsible for
its actions. Is the human mind a computer? Are humans programmed at birth? Are humans
programmed by environmental influences? Are humans responsible for their actions? Justify your
answer!
Ans:
Is the human mind a computer?
The human mind and computers have same similarities, such as processing information and
executing tasks. However, the mind is far more complex. It involves emotions, and experiences,
which computers do have.
Are humans programmed by environmental influences?
Yes, humans are significantly shaped by their environment. From the moment we are born, our
experiences, culture, education, and social interactions influence our thoughts, behaviors, and
beliefs.
Are humans responsible for their actions?
Yes, I would say humans are considered responsible for their actions because they have free will and
the ability to make choices.
