INTERNSHIP TASKS FOR D ATA ANALYST

WELCOME TO THE DATA ANALYST INTERNSHIP AT INTERNXCELERATE!

We are thrilled to have you join our team. To ensure you gain hands-on experience and develop key
skills, we have outlined a series of tasks categorized by their complexity: Beginner, Intermediate, and
Advanced. You are required to complete at least two tasks from any level to meet the internship
requirements. Each level will help you build upon your skills and contribute to real-world projects.

Beginner Tasks (Choose at least two)


1.Sales Data Analysis. Dataset

• Analyze sales data to identify trends and patterns.


• Gain experience in handling large datasets and deriving actionable insights.

2.Customer Feedback Analysis. Dataset

• Perform sentiment analysis on customer reviews.


• Learn to interpret textual data and understand customer sentiment.

3.Inventory Management. Dataset

• Track and analyze inventory levels and reorder times.


• Develop skills in inventory optimization and resource management.

Intermediate Tasks (Choose at least two)


1.Market Basket Analysis. Dataset

• Use association rules to find product purchase patterns.


• Understand customer purchasing behavior and improve sales strategies.

2.Churn Prediction. Dataset

• Analyze customer data to predict churn and recommend retention strategies.


• Develop predictive models to help retain valuable customers.

3.Financial Data Analysis. Dataset

• Perform financial analysis on a company's historical data to identify key performance


metrics.
• Learn to evaluate financial health and inform business decisions.
Advanced Tasks (Choose at least two)
1.Real-time Data Dashboard. Dataset

• Develop a dashboard to monitor live data feeds and generate insights.


• Build skills in real-time data processing and visualization.

2.Predictive Maintenance. Dataset

• Use sensor data to predict equipment failures and schedule maintenance.


• Apply predictive analytics to maintain operational efficiency.

3.Advanced Marketing Analytics. Dataset

• Develop a model to analyze marketing campaigns and optimize ad spend.


• Enhance your skills in marketing analytics and campaign management.

Note:

To ensure a comprehensive internship experience and facilitate skill development, interns are
required to complete a minimum of two tasks from any level of their choice. This approach promotes
a well-rounded learning journey and enables the acquisition of valuable skills.

For 12-week internships, interns can opt for the following project structures:

• Two mini-projects: Both projects can be selected from either the beginner or intermediate
level.

• One beginner and one intermediate project: This combination provides a balanced exposure
to different skill levels.

• One beginner and one advanced project: For interns aiming for significant skill
enhancement, choosing one beginner project and one advanced project is recommended.
The advanced project will serve as a platform for substantial growth.
