ENOVIA Program Central Functional Comparison

V6R2011x
November 9, 2010, v2

ENOVIA Program Central is focused at the project managers or leaders within an organization
while ENOVIA Program Experience (PGE) is focused at the project members. Since a project
leader also needs to collaborate with project members, the PRG license includes all PGE
functionality. In addition, ENOVIA Program Central applies a security model to control project
access. Therefore, a licensee of ENOVIA Live Collaboration (CPF) has no access to the
projects. In order to access a project, a user must be a licensee of ENOVIA Program Experience
or ENOVIA Program Central.

The following table can be used to compare ENOVIA Program Central functionality with ENOVIA
Program Experience. After the tables, a glossary for each of the listed functions is provided for
better understanding. Refer to product user guides for more information.

View Risks Created By or Assigned to Current User

This function provides a list of Risks to which the logged in person is assigned

Manage Risk Mitigation by RPN

A Risk Priority Number (RPN) quantifies the importance of risks so users can
evaluate, compare and prioritize risks for a project. The system calculates the
RPN value by multiplying the probability value by the impact value. The
probability and impact values can both range from 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest and
5 the highest. Therefore, the RPN can range from 1 (1x1) to 25 (5x5). The risk
owner, assignee, or any project member with project lead access can add new
RPNs to a risk to reflect changes in the risk status.

View Risk Properties

Working with Quality

Create a CTQ
Project leads can define customer success factors for a project. These customer
quality factors are called Critical to Quality (CTQ). CTQs are available for actual
projects only, not for project concepts or templates. When a CTQ is created, the
user enters textual information that defines the problem, defect, goal and other
information about the quality issue. The CTQ also includes the goal metric, which
contains the values that will be used to measure improvements against .
.
Edit CTQ
Project leads can edit a CTQ if it is not in the “Controlled” state. Editable values
include the problem statement and goal. The data type (discrete or continuous)
cannot be changed in the “Controlled” state – the CTQ must first be demoted.

Delete a CTQ
Project leads can delete a CTQ when it is no longer needed.
Create a Metric
Quality metrics define the counts or measurements needed to resolve the CTQ
and track progress toward the resolution. When a controlled metric is added for
the CTQ, the system promotes the CTQ to the “Controlled” state. The project
lead and members can add metrics for a CTQ.
