ENOVIA Program Central is focused at the project managers or leaders within an organization
while ENOVIA Program Experience (PGE) is focused at the project members. Since a project
leader also needs to collaborate with project members, the PRG license includes all PGE
functionality. In addition, ENOVIA Program Central applies a security model to control project
access. Therefore, a licensee of ENOVIA Live Collaboration (CPF) has no access to the
projects. In order to access a project, a user must be a licensee of ENOVIA Program Experience
or ENOVIA Program Central.
The following table can be used to compare ENOVIA Program Central functionality with ENOVIA
Program Experience. After the tables, a glossary for each of the listed functions is provided for
better understanding. Refer to product user guides for more information.

Create a Program
A program is a collection of projects and project concepts. Programs are created
to group projects of a similar nature or that have a common objective.
List Programs
A list of programs in the system can be provided based on whether it is active or
not.
View Program Properties
View program attributes history, lifecycle and associated project dashboards.
Delete a Program
A user can delete a program that is in the inactive state.
Promote/Demote a Program
Promote a program though its lifecycle states so it can be modified or activated
for use.
Create a Project
A project is a process for attaining a specified goal or objective. A project leader
can create projects via a wizard. The new project can be created from scratch or
created from a project template, cloning an existing project or from importing a
.cvs file.
Delete a Project
A user can delete a Project when it is no longer needed that is in the Create
state. Once a project is in a state other than Create then the project cannot be
deleted.
Promote/Demote a Project
Promote a project though its process lifecycle states so it can be defined,
activated, archived, and/or deleted.
Copy a Folder
The project leader or any member with can create a new top level folder by
copying an existing top level. All folder content, subfolders, and subfolder content
are also copied to the new folder. Similarly, anyone with add access for a folder
can create a subfolder by copying an existing subfolder in the folder. All
subfolders and content are also copied.

WBS tasks.
Create a Risk

resolution. The project leader and people assigned project lead access can
create risks for the project.
Promote/Demote a Risk
Promote and demote a project risk though its process lifecycle states
Create a CTQ
Project leads can define customer success factors for a project. These customer
quality factors are called Critical to Quality (CTQ). CTQs are available for actual
projects only, not for project concepts or templates. When a CTQ is created, the
user enters textual information that defines the problem, defect, goal and other
information about the quality issue. The CTQ also includes the goal metric, which
contains the values that will be used to measure improvements against .
.
Edit CTQ
Project leads can edit a CTQ if it is not in the “Controlled” state. Editable values
include the problem statement and goal. The data type (discrete or continuous)
cannot be changed in the “Controlled” state – the CTQ must first be demoted.
Delete a CTQ
Project leads can delete a CTQ when it is no longer needed.
Create a Metric
Quality metrics define the counts or measurements needed to resolve the CTQ
and track progress toward the resolution. When a controlled metric is added for
the CTQ, the system promotes the CTQ to the “Controlled” state. The project
lead and members can add metrics for a CTQ.
Promote/Demote a CTQ
Promote a CTQ though its process lifecycle states.
