DEFINITION

Narrative text is a type of text in English to


tell a story that has a series of connected
chronological events. The purpose of this
text is to entertain the reader about a tale
or stories.
TYPES OF NARRATIVE TEXT
Narrative text can be imaginary or factual. Here is the examples
of the genre form:

01 Mystery
04 Science fiction

02 Fairy tale
05 Horror

03 Fable Myth and legend


06 Romance

Orientation

01 Orientation or commonly called the introduction, contains

Complication
Complication tells the beginning of the problem that

04 Closing of a story, which is optional. Re- orientation can


contain moral lessons,
suggestions or teachings from the author.
EXAMPLE

hadapi. Kemudian kita dapat memecahkan
masalah dan dengan cepat menghasilkan ide-
ide baru sebanyak mungkin.
