1. General information
1.1. How to use the Media Bundle
This document describes how to use the Media Bundle. Please note that Media Bundle and
the installation process of the Media Bundle is made for LAB environment only.
This document does not replace the original “Product Documentation” of ProSetup or
ProBase. If you are not familiar with installation process of ProSetup or ProBase then please
look at the original “Product Documentation” which is placed in ProBase or ProSetup folder of
Media Bundle.
Please note that for the installation of the Media Bundle you need a DVD drive. If you are
using other installation way (e.g. bootable memory stick), then you are considered as an
expert with enough ProSetup and ProBase knowledge to prepare, configure and take
responsibility for your own installation method.
During the installation process system will ask for Hardware Configuration File. (HW_Conf.ini)
If you have ordered Media Bundle via ARES then the ”HW_Conf.ini” file is part of the Media
Bundle and stored in ...\Systems\HW_Configs\...

2.2. Prepare ProBase. Take an empty Memory-Stick and copy the content of ProBase folder from the Media
Bundle into the root of your Memory-Stick. (See picture below)
Copy ProBase into the root of your Memory-Stick. (If only ISO file available -> extract ISO to root)
2.3. Prepare DC_UPDATE. Take the same Memory-Stick as used in “step 2.2” and copy the DC_UPDATE folder
from the Media Bundle also into the root of your Memory-Stick. (See picture below)

2.4. Prepare Operating System (Windows). Please note that Operation System is not part of the Media Bundle.
Please use own Windows DVD + Licence which was delivered with the system.
2.5. Before starting the installation please verify if you need to run “New Installation” or “Update Installation”.
New installation is required if there is a ProSetup or ProBase Release Line change. Update installation is
needed only in case of ProBase relevant updates within same release line. (See picture below)
3.1. Insert the ProSetup disk on your ATM to begin with “New Installation”. Follow up the instructions on the
screen. Look at the original ProSetup Documentation if you are not familiar with Installation process of
ProSetup.
3.2. After ProSetup Installation has been finished, system will ask to insert the Operating System disk.
Follow up the instruction on the screen and complete the Operating System installation. Please note
that during the Operating System installation, system will reboot several times.

4.1. Insert your Memory-Stick and start with “New installation” of ProBase 1.3.
Look at original ProBase Documentation if you are not familiar with ProBase 1.3 installation.
4.3. To start with the “Update Installation” of ProBase 1.3 open DC_UPDATE folder on your Memory-Stick
and execute DC_PREPARATION.CMD (more info below)
