MS Excel shortcuts, from basic to

advanced:

Basic Shortcuts:

1. Ctrl + N: New workbook


2. Ctrl + O: Open workbook
3. Ctrl + S: Save workbook
4. Ctrl + P: Print workbook
5. Ctrl + Z: Undo
6. Ctrl + Y: Redo
7. Ctrl + C: Copy
8. Ctrl + X: Cut
9. Ctrl + V: Paste
10. Ctrl + A: Select all
11. Ctrl + F: Find/Search
12. Ctrl + Home: Go to beginning of worksheet
13. Ctrl + End: Go to end of worksheet

Navigation Shortcuts:

1. Ctrl + Page Up/Page Down: Switch between worksheets


2. Ctrl + Tab: Switch between open workbooks
3. Ctrl + Arrow keys: Move to edges of worksheet
4. Ctrl + Shift + Space: Select entire row
5. Ctrl + Space: Select entire column
6. F11: Toggle full-screen mode
7. F5: Go to a specific cell or range
8. Shift + Click: Select range of cells

Selection Shortcuts:

1. Ctrl + A: Select all


2. Ctrl + Shift + Space: Select entire row
3. Ctrl + Space: Select entire column
4. Shift + Click: Select range of cells
5. Ctrl + Click: Select multiple cells
6. Alt + Click: Select table or range

Editing Shortcuts:

1. F2: Edit cell


2. F5: Go to a specific cell or range
3. Ctrl + F: Find/Search
4. Ctrl + R: Replace
5. Ctrl + Shift + >/<: Increase/decrease font size
6. Ctrl + B/I/U: Bold/Italic/Underline
7. Ctrl + Shift + F: Format cells

Formatting Shortcuts:

1. Ctrl + 1/2/3: Change number formatting


2. Ctrl + Shift + !: Format as time
3. Ctrl + Shift + $: Format as currency
4. Ctrl + Shift + %: Format as percentage
5. Ctrl + Shift + &: Format as border
6. Ctrl + Shift + F: Format cells

Formula Shortcuts:

1. =: Start formula
2. F2: Edit formula
3. F5: Go to a specific cell or range
4. Ctrl + Shift + Enter: Array formula
5. Ctrl + ` (backtick): Toggle formula display
6. Shift + F3: Insert function
7. Fx: Insert function

PivotTable Shortcuts:
1. Ctrl + Shift + F: Create PivotTable
2. Alt + D + P: Create PivotTable
3. Ctrl + Shift + >/<: Expand/collapse PivotTable
4. Ctrl + Shift + Space: Select entire PivotTable
5. Ctrl + Shift + F: Refresh PivotTable

Chart Shortcuts:

1. F11: Create chart

Advanced Shortcuts:

5. Alt + F11: Visual Basic Editor
6. Ctrl + F8: Resize window

Excel 2016 and later:

1. Ctrl + Shift + F10: Smart tag


2. Ctrl + Shift + Space: Select entire table
3. Ctrl + Shift + >/<: Expand/collapse table
4. Ctrl + Shift + F: Format table
5. Alt + F11: Visual Basic Editor

*Basic Formulas:*

1. Sum of Marks: `=SUM(B2:E2)` (assuming marks are in


columns B to E)
2. Percentage: `=(SUM(B2:E2)/TOTAL_MARKS)*100`
(replace TOTAL_MARKS with the total marks)
3. Grade:
`=IF(F2>=90,"A",IF(F2>=80,"B",IF(F2>=70,"C",IF(F2>=60,
"D","F"))))` (assuming percentage is in cell F2)

*Marksheet Formulas:*

1. Total Marks: `=SUM(B2:E2)`


2. Average Marks: `=AVERAGE(B2:E2)`
3. Highest Score: `=MAX(B2:E2)`
4. Lowest Score: `=MIN(B2:E2)`
5. Rank: `=RANK.ASC(F2,$F$2:$F$100)` (assuming
percentage is in cell F2 and data is in range F2:F100)

*Result Formulas:*

1. Pass/Fail: `=IF(F2>=PASS_MARK,"Pass","Fail")` (replace


PASS_MARK with the passing marks)
2. Division:
`=IF(F2>=70,"First",IF(F2>=60,"Second",IF(F2>=50,"Third
","Fail")))`
3. Grade Points:
`=IF(F2>=90,4,IF(F2>=80,3,IF(F2>=70,2,IF(F2>=60,1,0)))
)`

*Example Marks Sheet:*
