Title of Experiment:
DC analysis of series-parallel combination of Resistors.

Fig.#01
Note: Redraw the simplified circuit if necessary.

1. Find the total resistance of the circuit

2. Find the total current flowing in the circuit
3. Find voltage drop across each resistor
4. Find out the current flowing in each resistor
5. Verify ohms law for R5
6. Verify KCL on junction A

Note: First solve the problem on note book and find out Total resistance
Rt, Total current It and Voltage drop across each resistor and current
through each resistor.
7. Implement the above circuit in Multisim and compare your mathematical
calculations with software result.

Multisim Equipment and Components:

● Resistors
● Voltage Source
● Wire
● Diodes
● Capacitors

Hardware Tools:

Procedure/ Mathematical Calculations:

first place all the required components: a 12V DC voltage source, three diodes (such as 1N4007), and six 1kΩ
resistors, making sure the diodes are correctly oriented (anode to cathode). Add a ground from the "Sources"
toolbar to ensure proper simulation. Then, insert a current probe from the "Instruments" toolbar and place it in
series between the positive terminal of the voltage source and the rest of the circuit. Next, wire the circuit
according to your diagram, connecting all components as needed. Finally, click the Run button to simulate the
circuit, and the current probe will display the total current flowing through the circuit.
