CONDUCT COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
Panelist, I am now ready to perform conduct competency assessment

5 days prior to the conduct of the assessment I receive a call from the AC Manager
if I am available to conduct competency assessment in May 16, 2024 at St. Clare
Polytechnic School of Buruaen Inc. I visited the office to sign the appointment and to
check the area. As I checked the assessment workshop area it is ready for
assessment
Panelist, I am now ready to perform conduct competency assessment

GO TO TESDA REP

Good morning Sir, I have here the letter of appointment. I am Gemarela S. Capitenio
the assigned assessor for today. (I will get the assessment package)
I received the following from the tesda representative:
 1 copy assessors guide
 1 copy assessment guide
 10 copies specific instruction to the candidate
 10 copies CARS
 10 copies rating sheets
 2 copies performance evaluation
 2 copies report on proceedings
And from the P.O are the ff:
 10 copies accomplished application form with SAG
 Folios of the candidates
 Attendance sheet with encoded names and reference number

 Sir, may I proceed to conduct orientation? Thank you.


 Good morning candidates. Lets start with a prayer. Please be seated
 Before anything else I want to acknowledge the presence of our tesda
representative do not be bothered by his presence cause he’s only here to
observe our assessment
 By the way I am Gemarela S. Capitenio, your assessor
 As I call your name please come in front and submit you admission slip and I
have here 5 copies of attendance sheet please sign, you might wonder why
so many. Since you are scholar the budgeting office, COA, finance unit,
central office and school needs a copy. (call candidates)

Purpose
 Candidates, unsa man inyo purpose pagtake ani nga assessment? For
employment, certification or for working abroad
 Our venue will be in the practical work area don’t worry kay gi check ko na
ang mga resources such as the supplies, materials, tools and equipment are
properly arranged and within safe environment and you will be given one
hour to demonstrate
 Competency standard to be assessed:

 In our assessment process it will be on the evidence plan we used the 3
method which are written 20%, demo 60% & oral questioning 20%. Your task
is to feed small ruminants and you will be given 1 hour to demonstrate your
task.
 My role as an assessor, I will just observe your performance base on the 4
dimensions of competency
 Rules of Evidence
o Authentic
o Valid
o Current
o Sufficient
o Consistent
o and, Recent
 Reasonable adjustments- what language do you prefer candidates? Wala ba
gi bawal sa inyo relihiyon or na violate sa inyo culture kani ato assessment?
Naa ba dri may problema sa health or disability? Like I said earlier don’t worry
kay ato assessment venue, resources, supplies, materials, tools and
equipment are properly arranged within safe environment. Kung gusto mag cr
naa ubos dool sa cashier.
 Legal and ethical responsibilities- first we have right to appeal it means kung
naam oy wala na angayan ato is settle sa tesda representative. If not mag
himo ta og written agreement kung unsa performance criteria ang imo wala
na angayan and address to our Assessment Manager.
 Confidentiality- Now, with regards to the result of the assessment we observe strict
confidentiality. The result shall only be made available to the authorized personnel and
the institution where you had your actual training. In relation to this, the assessment
package is kept on a safe place. This is for the integrity of the assessment package. Above
all may I request/ask all the candidates to please refrain from giving away information
that took place during the assessment process.
 Integrity of assessor- so as your assessor I will be fair to all of you walang
bias. The result shall only be made available to the authorized personnel and the
institution where you had your actual training. In relation to this, the assessment package
is kept on a safe place. This is for the integrity of the assessment package. Above all may
I request/ask all the candidates to please refrain from giving away information that took
place during the assessment process.
 Procedure in claiming NC- you will get your electronic certificate a day after
assessment it will be sent to your email
 Re-assessment procedure – kung mahagbong nya mag apply utro og

magpa assess ma improve na ang area of your weakness

1. Establish raport

 Based on the evidence plan we have 3 methods of gathering evidence:
written oral and demonstration
 In written test we have 50 items to be answered in 10 mins
 In practical demonstration we will proceed to practical work area and after we
will have oral questioning based on your demonstration
 Are you ready? Let’s proceed to our assessment area
 Let’s start our written test please answer in 10 mins. Okay pass your papers.

Orient the candidate
 I have here the specific instruction please read and understand. I will reread it
to you again.
 Now get the tools and materials needed in the storage area and bring it here.
 Here is the task for demonstration please read and understand
 Are you ready for your practical demonstration?
 During your demonstration I will not disturb you, I will just observe base on
the 4 dimensions of competency. And record your performance in your rating
sheet. In case you are in danger I will tap your shoulder to stop.
 Okay lets start. Are you done? Candidate #1 I have observed that you missed
one performance criteria to demonstrate but do not worry because it is not
critical aspect of competency, I will ask an oral question to support the
performance criteria that you’ve missed.

demonstrate and it is one of the critical aspect of competency, I will ask an

 Candidate #1 I observed that you missed one performance criteria to
demonstrate but like I said it is not critical aspect of the competency. And so,
I will ask you a question. What are the legumes feed to small ruminants?
 (cowpea, mani-mani, ipil-ipil) ok kindly go back to your seat
 Candidate #2 I observed that you missed one performance criteria to
demonstrate and it is one of the critical aspect of competency. And so, I will
ask you a question. What are the grasses feed to small ruminants? what are
the tree fodder feed to small ruminants?

 Your written exam out of 50 you got 48. You have good performance in
your practical demonstration in feed small ruminats

 In your written exam I am not satisfied.
 In your practical demonstration in feed small ruminants, do you think you
meet the 4 dimensions of competency? (No I am)
 Okay I agree and observed that you did not properly perform feed small
ruminants during the assessment
 I’m also not satisfied with your demonstration and you miss one performance
criteria and I am also not satisfied with your oral questioning
Result
 Your written exam out of 50 you got 10. You have poor performance in
your practical demonstration in feed small ruminats
 Based on the evidence gathered of your written test, oral questioning and
demo I have found out that you are not yet competent. Thank you for
submitting yourself for the national assessment.

TESDA REP CONDUCT THE EVALUATION FORM TO RATE THE ASSESSOR AND THE
ASSESSMENT CENTER

 Sir I have here the evaluation tool please rate me as the assessor and the
assessment center

containing
