    Special Industry-Connect Certificate Courses

    Objective:
    Within coming few years there is supposed to be a huge demand of technical manpower having
    knowledge and skill in certain ICT domains where business is shifting steadily. While AI, ML,
    Data Science, Cyber Security and IOT are some of the popular emerging areas in which
    specializations are offered in B.Tech/M.Tech level, there are few other in-demand ICT areas like
    Cloud Computing, Web & Mobile Technology, Enterprise Computing, Deep Learning, Python
    Programming, WSN, CAD-CAM and Drone Technology on which there is not much scope for
    industry-oriented exposure at graduation/post graduation level within the purview of
    University curriculum.
    Looking at this gap and realizing the industry requirement RCCIIT has proposed following ten
    industry-oriented short term certificate courses in emerging ICT areas for the
    B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (Comp. Sc/IT)/B.Sc (Comp. Sc/IT)/BCA students for enhancing their
    employability with respect to the requirement of IT-TES industry.
    Courses:
     Cloud Computing – Course 1
     Enterprise (Mainframe) Computing – Course 2
     Wireless Sensor Network – Course 3
     Mobile & Web Technology – Course 4
     Drone-based Aerial Surveillance and Image/Video Processing – Course 5
     Deep Learning – Course 6
     Computing using Python – Course 7
     Computer Aided Engineering Design & Manufacturing using SolidWorks/ SolidCAM –
    Course 8
     Computer Vision & Pattern Recognition – Course 9
     Control Systems – Course 10
    These ten high-intensity courses with target outcome will be held in physical and hybrid mode
    (as per situation) with each cycle of all courses spanning over a semester and running parallel
    to regular classes. Total coverage of each course will be 80-100 hours (4-6 hrs class per
    week) including project and soft skill modules.
    Funding & Support:
    The Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Govt. of India has accepted the proposal of RCCIIT and
    has sanctioned grant in aid to design and deliver the said courses with the support of domain-
    specialists from relevant industry and experts from reputed academia like IIT/ISI. On successful
    completion of the courses the certificates are likely to be provided to the participants by MeitY
    and RCCIIT jointly. Placement support will be provided to students successfully completing a
    course.
    Enrollment:
    The courses are likely to commence in August 2022. Limited no of seats will be available for
    each course and seats will be allotted on seniority and first-come-first-serve basis. Preference
    will be given to SC/ST/OBC/EWS students as per reservation policy of Govt. of India.
    Applications from interested students are now invited for enrollment in the courses through the

    For the in-house students there will be token registration and examination fee of Rs. 1000/-
    only (no tuition fee) per course. For students from outside RCCIIT a nominal facility fee (Rs.
    2000/-) will be charged in addition to the registration & examination fee. All fees will be waived
    for SC/ST/OBC/EWS students on production of adequate proof.
