Create Bootable Flash Drive using RUFUS

Windows Server OS and Windows 7 OS


Then reformat your PC.

While you are waiting to Finish Installing OS


Setup your cable UTP, PATCH PANEL, I/O, RJ45.

After you finished Installing OS on both PC,

Re-name your computer


Windows Server OS
Computer Name: SERVER

Windows 7 OS
Computer Name: USER or CLIENT or PC1 or Win7

Install Software:
Driver Pack
Google Chrome
Windows Office – Word
Exel
Powerpoint

Other Software
If needed - WINRAR
Adobe Reader

First, you need to reset your router button and


setup your IP Address Depend on IP Classes
Before you proceed STEP 1

STEP 1.
Manage Sharing Settings on both Windows
Server PC and Windows 7 PC

Click -> PC Icon Click -> Open Network and Sharing Center

Click -> Change Advanced Sharing Settings both Windows Server PC and Windows 7 PC

Under the -> Home or Network TAB.

Select -> Turn on network discovery


Select -> Turn on file and printer sharing
Select -> Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the public
folder
Select -> Turn off password protected sharing

Under the -> Guest or Public (current profile) Tab.

Select -> Turn on network discovery


Select -> Turn on file and printer sharing
Select -> Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the public
folder
Select -> Turn off password protected sharing

Under the All networks Tab. (Windows 7 Set-up)

Select -> Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the public
folder
Select -> Use 128-bit encryption to help protect file sharing connections (recommended)
(Windows 7 Set-up)

Very important is
Select -> Turn off password protected sharing
Click -> Save changes Box

STEP 2.
TURN OFF FIREWALL SETUP BOTH WINDOWS
SERVER AND WINDOWS 7

Click -> PC Icon Click -> Open Network and Sharing Center

Click -> Window Firewall Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off

Under the -> Home or Work (Private) network location settings

Select -> Turn off windows Firewall (not recommended)

Under the -> Public network location settings

Select -> Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)

Then Click -> OK

After you setup Advanced Sharing and Firewall Settings,
you need to connect both Windows Server PC and
Windows 7 PC Peer to Peer connection. Then Setup
PRINTER to your PC, after the peer to peer connection,
then print.

STEP 3.
SETUP YOUR WINDOWS SERVER PC TO
STATIC CONNECTION
Click -> PC Icon Click -> Open Network and Sharing Center

Click -> Change adapter settings Double Click -> Local Area Connection then Click
Properties or Right Click -> Local Area Connection then
Click -> Properties.

Uncheck -> Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) if active


Double Click -> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Click -> Internet Protocol Version
(TCP/IPv4) Then Click -> Properties.

Input the IP Address in the BOX depend on your Router Setup IP Address classes.

EXAMPLE:

Use the following IP Address:


192.168.100.20
255.255.255.0
192.168.100.1
Use the following DNS server Address:
192.168.100.20

In Windows 7 PC, Always Set-up to Dynamic Selection (Obtain an


IP address automatically)

WINDOWS SERVER ADD ROLES & INSTALLING

Click -> Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager

Click -> Roles -> Add Roles

Click -> Next Button

SELECT SERVER ROLES AND INSTALL ONE BY ONE

 Active Directory Domain Services


 DHCP
 DNS Server
 File Services

STEP 1. ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAIN SERVICE INSTALLATION

Highlight and click the box -> Active Directory Domain Service

Click -> Add Required Features Box

Then Click Install and wait the installation to complete -> Then Click Close Box

STEP 2. DNS SERVER INSTALLATION


Click -> Active Directory Domain Services

Click -> Run the Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard (dcpromo.exe)

Click -> Next Click -> Next

Click -> white circle (Create a new domain in a new forest) Then Click -> Next

In the Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard box

Type name with the following Example then Click -> Next

EXAMPLE: TESDA.Local
www.atec.com
www.user.org
user.com
user.net
user.cc
user.ph

Click -> Arrow down in the box and choice (Windows Server 2008 R2) The Click -> Next

Wait to Examining DNS configuration Loading…

Click -> Next Click -> Yes

If the computer Appear this massage

Click ->Yes, the computer will use an IP Address Automatically assigned by a DHCP server
(not recommended).

This option is depending on your PC set-up on your DNS Server IP Address

Click -> Next Create your Password on your Domain Account

SAMPLE:
Atec123

Click -> Next Click the white box -> Reboot on completion

Wait until the Windows Server PC restart

If you forget to check the small white box, you need to restart your Windows Server PC
Manually.
After Booting your PC, enter your password you create before to your administrator account.

STEP 3. DHCP INSTALLATION


Click -> Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager

Click -> Roles -> Add Roles

Highlight and click the box -> DHCP Server Click -> Next

Click -> Next Double check the IP Address if correct then Click – Next

Delete the IP address 127.0.0.1 then write the correct IP Address 192.168.100.20

Before you click the Validate button, you need to edit your IPv4 Setup. Go to STEP 3. SETUP
YOUR WINDOWS SERVER PC TO STATIC CONNECTION on Page 4 -5

After you edit the IPv4 Setup Click -> Validate box then Click -> Next

Click -> Next Click -> Add…

CREATE SCOPE NAME


Example: Files Scope
Input IP Address to Starting IP Address and Ending IP Address, make sure your IP Address are
not conflict.
IP Address Sample: Starting to 192.168.100.8 / Ending to 192.168.100.19

Click -> OK

Highlight the Scope Name with IP Address
Make sure your DHCP Scopes are Activate then Click -> Next

Click the white circle -> Disable DHCPv6 stateless mode for this server then Click -> Next

Make sure the circle of (Use current credentials) is on then Click -> Next

Click -> Install and wait to finish the installation process.

Click -> Close after


Successfully installed

STEP 4. FILE SERVICE INSTALLATION

If the FILE SERVICE automatically installed then let’s


proceed to STEP. 5, Page 20

Click -> Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager

Click -> Roles -> Add Roles

Click -> Next

Check the box -> File Server Resource Manager
Check the box -> Windows Server 2003 File Services
Click -> Next

Check the box -> New Volume (D:) then Click -> Next

Click -> Install and wait the installation process.

Click -> Close

Click -> File Service

Scroll Down and find the Add Role Services Then Click it.

Create Active Directory User and Computer
Click –> Start -> Administrative Tools then Click -> Active Directory User and Computers

Right Click -> New -> Organizational Unit

Create Name you want.


Example: HR Files Click -> OK after you Change the Name

Click -> Start -> Computer Right Click on the open Area then Properties

Click -> Change settings Click -> Change

Write your Domain Name on your SERVER
Click -> OK

Type your username and password


Username: Administrator
Password: Atec123
Click -> OK Wait the loading process then Click -> OK

If you have a problem to your Domain Account and appear this message.
Click -> OK

Proceed to Page 39 – 40 and follow Instruction

STEP 1.
Unplug your 12v adaptor on your Router for 30secs. Or 1 min. then back again.

STEP 2.
Go to your Windows Server PC then Press win+R to your keyboard, Type CMD then enter

Type: ipconfig to your Command prompt then Enter

Check your IPv4 IP Address

Input the IP Address 192.168.100.20 to your Window 7 IPv4 setup.
Then Click -> OK
Click -> OK

Let’s Try again


Click -> OK

If the error still in your Domain Account


you need to troubleshoot your connection one by one.
Check your IPv4 on your Windows 7 or Windows Server if the setup is dynamic or Static.
Check your IP address if not conflict.
Check your Server Domain Account setup
Check your UTP cable RJ45 on the back of your PC if the light is blinking.
Check your Router Power on.
Check your I/O Connection.
Check your Patch Panel Connection.

On your keyboard press CTRL + ALT + DELETE

Click -> Switch User

Click -> Other User

Username: Admin1

REMOTE DESKTOP
On your client Windows 7 PC
Click -> Start then type remote Click -> Allow remote access to your computer

Create a Folder inside the Drive (D:)

Re-name the Folder you create

Create New Folder then Re-name to Backup Folder

Check the small box -> Share this folder Click - Remove
Click -> Permissions Click – Add…
