College Placement Portal System

Abstract: In this paper College Placement Program. A program that aims to improve an online application for training and the
student placement department of our college. The program is an application that can be found throughout the college with
correct access provided. This application can be used as an application of Training and Placement (TPO) officers of the college
to manage student information about placement. Student sign-in should be able to upload their information to CV form.
The application provides storage space for student details. It also provides the requested list of selected recruited students
based on a given query. Administrator login can also search for any information stored by students.

I. INTRODUCTION
In this paper is primarily intended to provide information about proper placement. It has different modules such as student modules
and administrative modules. Using this The TPO module can easily manage its management information about the student profile
where the TPO acts as director module. This program provides smart communication between the industrial center and the students.
It also has databases which is a common way to manage student data. various institutions use paperwork to create a database of
student knowledge which is a time-consuming process. Everything these problems are solved using an online, web-based system
program using various technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Node Js, Angular, etc. This application is secure. Most
TPO systems have a way to change the most important password it is safe. In this program we collect information from all
institutions students are also picked up according to the required conditions company. The controller has a full access control rights
system. The students are overloaded CV and get resources through TPO and company.

II. METHODOLOGY
The software design pattern known as Model View Controller, or MVC as it is more often known, is used for creating online
applications

1) Model - The pattern's lowest level is in charge of data upkeep.

2) View - This is in charge of showing the user all or some of the info.
3) Controller - The computer programme that manages how the Model and View communicate..
MVC is well-liked because it promotes the separation of concerns and separates the application logic from the user interface layer.
In this case, the Controller takes in all requests for the application and collaborates with the Model to prepare any data that the View
needs.

The view then creates a final presentable response using the data prepared by the Controller.

A. Online Training and Placement System

It has become need for each and every student, but for that, they need to travel worldwide in search of jobs. The prior method
required all record keeping to be done manually, thus we suggested an online training and placement solution to streamline these
otherwise complex processes. It is very difficult to maintain coordination between student and companies and it is also time
consuming. For better Services in placement, it is vital to use our proposed system in colleges. This system is employed, and it also
offers students training and employment chances, in order to prepare the students and make them ready for industry employment.

1) Advantages
a) There are corporate modules with direct corporate connections to the students.
b) It also has an SMS integration page which gives and instant messaging to notify students as most of don’t go through emails.

2) Disadvantages
a) It does not work if any internet connection loss or offline mode.
b) It only working with the internet connection.

B. Training Placement Activities in Context with Industry

The placement cell seeks to establish connections between institute students and various industries. Numerous placement-related
events are planned by the placement cell. Its efforts across various domains are quickly convergent. The purpose of education is to
mould students into excellent people who were formerly decisive, knowledgeable, and accountable leaders.
Role of alumni-a group of people who have graduate from school or university .it is used to refer to a group of graduates of either
one or both genders.

The main goals of alumni are:

a) Training and placement of the student.
b) Infrastructure of the development.
c) Guidelines, analysis
d) Curriculum design guidelines e Student benefit scheme

1) Advantages
a) It provides industry institute interaction.

2) Disadvantage
a) In this paper industry is not directly connected to the students.it used the interface of institute interaction

C. Placement Support System

Placement Support System is an online application. With proper login provided, this application can be accessed outside as well as
throughout the organization. To manage the student’s information with regards to placements, this system can be used as an
application by the Training and Placement officers of the college. It is a computer-based system that enhances the way in which
TPO communicates information to students so that they can be informed online. It is more accurate than doing work on paper and
with a pen.

1) Advantage
a) It is secure and accurate for institute, students, industry.

2) Disadvantage
a) It is not offline system.

III. WORKING
A. Web Based Placement Management System
The main benefit from this project is that one time registration is enabled. Less time is needed, and less paper is used. This project is
developed with python, JavaScript, and MySQL.
The placement cell allows the companies to view the student's resumes in companies to select their students for job via the campus
interview.

The primary modules of this project are:

1) Student Module: This is an academic record about an academic career with facilities to modify record and viewing changes
the record. The students view the company information, confirm specific company information, and submit accurate
information for registration.
2) Admin Module: Admin is a placement officer who have to login themselves and can view the students and company details
and sending mail to students.

IV. LITERATURE REVIEW

A. Importance of College Placement Portals
College placement portals enhance job prospects, streamline recruitment processes, and bridge the gap between students and
employers.

B. User Experience and Interface Design

Effective user experience and intuitive interface design are crucial for ensuring a seamless interaction between students, colleges,
and potential employers.

C. Matching Algorithms and Recommendation Systems

Employing advanced matching algorithms and recommendation systems can help optimize the job search process and increase
successful placements.

D. Integration with Social Media Platforms

Integrating college placement portals with social media platforms enables wider reach, networking opportunities, and real-time
updates on job openings.

E. Privacy and Data Security

Ensuring stringent privacy measures and robust data security protocols are essential to safeguard personal information and maintain
trust among users.

F. Performance Evaluation and Feedback Mechanisms

Implementing performance evaluation tools and feedback mechanisms facilitates continuous improvement and enhances the
effectiveness of college placement portals.

V. CONCLUSION
TPO create an environment which remove the pen and paperwork and reduces the time-consuming work. It uses a graphical user
interface for designing, which provides a convenient understanding about the structure of the system. It also has particular module
for a particular area like for student's details system have student module, for company details system have a company module and
for institute/TPO details system have own separate admin module. For security purposes also have a password changing option.
There are types of technologies which is used to develop a TPO system like web portal, JavaScript, python, node Js, etc. It is a very
important system for those students who are graduating and searching for the jobs in different streams and areas

VI. FUTURE SCOPE

Our project has a big scope to do. Students can access previous information about placement. We can store information for all
students. Various companies can access their information. Notifications are sent to students about the companies.
1) Easy to collect and manage student data.
2) To increase the accuracy and efficiency of the placement procedure.
3) Reduce the paperwork.
4) Analysis of overall placement activities.
