UNIVERSITY

The Adikavi Nannaya University MSN Campus, (Erstwhile Andhra University MSN Campus)
Kakinada lies on the East coast in the East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The campus
has been carefully nurtured in academic and service activities since its establishment in
November 1977. The campus is ideally located in between 213 National Highway and Kakinada
Port – Samalkot ADB Road in a 50.93 acres site at Thimmapuram village. The Campus is at a
distance of nine kilometres from Kakinada Town Railway Station. The environment and facilities
at the Campus are very conductive to learning. The administrative control of this campus has
been transferred to Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry vide. G.O. Ms. No. 19 Dated
06.04.2017

Greetings from the Adikavi Nannaya University.

The University is on the path to establish a strong research base and

culture of innovation. I strongly encourage all the faculty from campus
colleges and affiliated colleges to involve in serious research activity at
individual level as well as in collaborating with other professional
agencies. The University instruction should be coupled with the research
activity so that students can be given state of the art instruction in a
chosen field. I am happy to note that some of the faculty members are
already active in their research work and publishing in good impact
journals.
The University has highly qualified faculty in their respective fields of
expertise. I understand that a large number of national and international
conferences, seminars and workshops are being organized. Such events
provide a variety of experiences to the students and inculcate skills such
as leadership and team spirit which are helpful in their career. There is an
active interaction between faculty and students in the campus. The
learning experiences in the campus pave a strong path for enhancement
of overall development of the learners.
The students of Adikavi Nannaya University are extremely talented and
very active in extracurricular, co – curricular, sports, NSS and intra –
personal activities. The bubbling energy of these youngsters need to be
streamlined so the Adikavi Nannaya University is exposed at state and
national level for its academic, co – curricular and societal activities.

During the time students spend with us, we work to transform them in
various ways so as to make a positive impact in the organizations they
choose for their careers. The Course work provides them the professional
knowledge to be successful managers, the Soft-skills training prepares
them to be effective at communication and interpersonal skills, and the
holistic program design develops them to be good citizens.

Our faculties work closely with each other in enhancing student learning
and joint research activities. Students take advantage of this variety by
taking courses from other departments that support their concentration.
This helps our students develop a multidisciplinary perspective so
important in the business world today. The current economic scenario is
highly competitive and requires participants to deal with uncertainties
and turbulent situations while keeping an eye on performance. Our

Greetings from the Department of commerce and management studies !

Department of commerce and management studies in AKNU MSN

Campus, Kakinada is one of the active departments in the Campus with
intake of 66 students through APICET. It is a two-year course with
specialization of Finance, Marketing and Human Resource.

Department students were successfully placed in several public & private

sectors every year. Students were selected in campus interviews
conducted at university and are placed in MNC’s.

Every year we will take the student to industrial visits to get practical
exposure and many guest lectures were organised in the department
with industry experts and eminent professors.

Our MBA course is perfect blend of academic elegance and business

relevance. With participation from all over the country, each class of
students bring such a eclectic mix of work experience, cultural
background, value systems and perspectives that the learning never
ceases even outside the classroom. We don't believe in stagnating and

 Recruitment Process & Policies
Scheduling - Recruiters will contact the placement office to discuss
and to schedule the possible dates for pre-placement talk. WIthin a
week span the talk would be conducted at the school.

Pre-Placement Talk - The Pre-placement talks with atleast of 30

minutes presentation and 15 minutes direct Q&A session are
recommended at school, so that students get a brief knowledge of
company, culture, policies, Job Description etc.

Recruitment - Companies conduct their on-campus recruitment

process, infrastructure for conducting aptitude tests, interviews etc.,
are available at school.

Results - The recruiters would intimate the list of selected

candidates to the placement office.

Offer Letters - The joining dates of the selected candidates would be

worked out as per the requirement of the companies and the course
