Way up north in Norway, I was blown away by the lights dancing across the sky. Green and pink ribbons
waving above, it was like the heavens were performing just for us The Northern Lights aren't just
something cool to see though. They remind us that even up here, we're connected to huge things

As our boat pulled up to the island, I peered through my binoculars and gasped—were those giant heads
in the distance?! I raced to the side and followed their stone gazes to the beach. My legs shook as I
stepped onto the sand, not believing what surrounded me I spent all day exploring and had so many
questions. Who made these big guys and why? How did they move rocks bigger than our house? As the
hot sun beat down, I tried imagining all the work it took long ago. Sometimes I pretended the heads
could talk and tell me their story Hiking with Dad, I thought about living on a tiny island It must have
been hard but these people made amazing things! Even though their village is gone, these rock heads
prove people really lived here long before. They'll stay here looking over the ocean forever, just like real
guardians Leaving was tough—I didn't want to go! But I'm glad the heads will still be here if I ever visit
again. Maybe one day when I'm older, I'll learn more about this cool lost land's mysterious past. Until
then, these giant sentinels on Easter Island will stay in my dreams!
When my family told me we were going to the Grand Canyon during our vacation, I wasn't sure what to
expect. As a 10-year-old kid, I didn't really understand why this hole in the ground was such a big deal.
But when we got there and I walked up to the edge, all I could do was stare in disbelief. I'd never seen
anything so huge! I felt tiny standing next to that gigantic crack in the earth At first it looked like just a
really deep ditch. But the longer I stared, the more I started to notice. I could see layers and layers of
colorful rock, like a cake with different flavors. And the sides were made of cliffs that looked impossible
to climb down. It was cool to think about what the earth must have looked like a long time ago, and how
things changed over millions of years. That's when it really hit me - this canyon is a window into the
super long past I watched people pointing at things through their binoculars, and started wondering
what secrets I was missing. So I put on the pair my dad brought and suddenly it was like I was zoomed
in. I spotted tiny specks moving along trails carved into the cliffsides. There were even miniature
waterfalls! It made my head spin thinking about animals and plants surviving down there. The best part
was grabbing my mom and dad's hands as we walked around the rim. I felt like an explorer discovering
new spots each time we turned a corner. This place was way more amazing than I ever could have
thought. I can't wait to come back someday and see how much bigger it all looks once I'm grown up!
Nature sure is full of surprises.

Lights' reminder of our small role in cosmic dreams, every journey opened my eyes a bit more Travel has

young dreamers to become. Our world is a gift; it's on loan, so let's give our kids one well-loved and
