How to Create a Tile Pointing to URL in SAP S/4Hana

Prerequisites:

- Access to SAP Fiori Launchpad (FLP) with the necessary permissions to create tiles.

Steps:

1. Create a Catalog (Optional):


- If you want to group similar tiles, you can create a catalog first. This step is optional.
- In the FLP, navigate to the "App Finder" under the "Me" area.
- Search for "Manage Catalogs" and open the app.
- Click the "+" button to create a new catalog.
- Provide a name and description for the catalog, and save it.

2. Create the Tile:


- In the FLP, navigate to the desired catalog (or the main FLP area if you're not using a catalog).
- Click the "+" button on the right side of the screen.
- Select "App Launcher - Static" as the tile type.

3. Configure the Tile Details:


- Title: Enter a descriptive name for the tile that users will see in the FLP.
- Subtitle (Optional): You can provide additional information about the tile's purpose.
- Target Mapping: Select "Use semantic object navigation" (important for this scenario).
- Semantic Object: Leave this field blank.
- Action: Leave this field blank.
- Target Location: Paste the complete URL you want the tile to link to.
- Icon (Optional): Choose an icon that visually represents the linked URL (optional).

4. Save and Assign (Optional):


- Click "Save" to create the tile.
- If you used a catalog in step 1, navigate to "Assign Catalogs" and select the catalog where you
want the tile to appear.

5. Access the Tile:


- The newly created tile should be visible in the chosen catalog (or the main FLP area) within the
FLP.

- Users can click the tile to launch the specified URL in a new tab or window.

Additional Notes:

- This method creates a static tile that always points to the same URL.
